Most male doctors I know of older than 40 have like 3 divorces.

My gf is a doctor in Australia and its pretty fucking cringe based on what she says. Like every meeting has a 5 minute indigenous acknowledgment speech, constant diversity training (even though they are pretty much all international already), and the funniest part is there's still rampant bullshit like doctors sleeping with psychiatric patients and getting a slap on the wrist. I think if you have thick skin and can 'play the game' of politics its still a decent career. Once you get consultant st…

It's really difficult to over state just how disproportionately important sugar is for so many issues. It's been conflated with the annoying soccer-mum fad diets which makes most people dismiss it, but cutting out artificial sugar is the most powerful thing you can do imo. For me it stops me being fat, lethargic and pimply all in one go, yet I STILL struggle controlling it. Just goes to show how powerful an addiction it is behind the scenes.

I have carefully done almost all of these in the past 12 months, suddenly I'm cashed up, not fat, and developing faster than I ever have. There is a crucial part I'm missing though and need advice for. Because I've spent my years since university moving 1000s if kilometres at a time, I've reduced all my core friends to basically pen pals. I seem to be great at making good work mates, but given the remote nature of my work (mining) everyone seems to have comfortable enough lives back home that it…

I like coming here for a fresh, if not extreme, perspective sometimes. I've gotta say this is probably the most useful and balanced comment I've read. It might not get much appreciation here but if nothing else you should know I found it very helpful. Cheers :)

You're right, diversity makes sense long term. I was thinking short term in terms of enthusiasm. I know I very rarely go to the new platforms as I often forget, especially when there's multiple.

Is there any future planning to merge with other banished subs like The Donald? Would be cool to have them all in one place when Reddit inevitably deletes everything of interest.
