At least she had the class to wait until she was separated to move on. You were “moving on” while still in marriage she thought you were committed to (and your affair partner didn’t even know about) Get therapy. And leave her the hell alone to heal with whoever is bringing her peace & happiness.

Yay you? You’re ignoring the premise at hand. HE WANTS HER TO PAY BILLS AND DO THE MAJORITY OF THE HOUSE WORK AND MENTAL LABOR. How is that fair? Equitable? Reasonable? WTF is wrong with you? I’m out of patience & crayons for you. Bye boy

So, not wanting to struggle to put food on the table is “throwing people under the bus because they can’t provide [me] with a wealthy enough lifestyle”? I can read just fine. You just can’t answer the question. You can’t justify his “offer”. It doesn’t matter if the guy is making $200k… if I still had to work to make sure the bills are paid, I’m not doing the majority of the housework and mental labor. What don’t you agree with there? Or what don’t you understand? Never mind. You DO understand. …

Again, reading comprehension is key. I literally said not a mansion. But if I still have to work to put food on the table, why am I signing up to do the majority of the workload? That’s nuts. Tell me how many men are signing up for “still work, bring home a paycheck, but do the majority of work & mental labor in the home”? I’ll happily work & pay my share, especially when times are tough and not a lot of people are wealthy. I’m not going to do both. Who would?

If she has to work but to still struggle with a middle class life and do the majority of the workload, it’s not worth it. have neither the time, patience nor crayons to explain to you further.

🤣 Men worried about women digging for gold they don’t have. We’re specifically talking about a situation where a guy wants to “provide” 66% (I was being overly generous when I said 75% according to his own post) if she “takes the lead” on the housework and mental load? That’s not treating her like a princess. That’s treating her like he’s to broke too pull off the whole trad life but still wants a mommybangmaid.

If a man is thinking paying 75% of bare minimum expenses is supposed to get him a partner who also works and still has to do 75% around the house? So I still have to work, plus “take the lead” on all the household & mental labour? Why would I not just pay the 50% and have someone contribute equally in effort as well? I’m not asking for a mansion, but if I still have to work for just the basics to survive, why would I be taking on 75% of the rest of the load? If someone’s paying enough of the bil…

lol. Too much sexist energy in the OP. If partnership scares you, or you can’t provide it, just say so.

So you’re saying you’re going to provide 75% of the financial requirements for a house & home & kids if she does 75% of the household duties? Not 75% of a 1bdrm apartment, single car, no vacation. 75% of having a middle class lifestyle. But that doesn’t include childcare, right, because that’s another whole job.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/24 06:20 AM

Not that I’d enter such a relationship, but any man who expects his partner to “take the lead” on basic household duties had better be “taking the lead” on providing for said household. If I can make my own $ (& let’s face it, these days, two incomes is a normal requirement for a halfway comfortable life), I’ll be damned if I’m playing mommybangmaid for someone while paying half the bills. You eat? Then you get to cook too. You wear clothes? Know how to do laundry. Be an adult human? Know your o…

Of course I’ve heard the expression. But you’re just using it to try to bolster one point of view. There’s no difference between most women saying they’re happy single/childfree/whatever than there is a guy showing off his model collection or someone posting videos of them skydiving & saying how much they love it.

suddenly controversial when talking about women
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/24 03:26 AM

Oh, so now it’s just women? So men who say they’re happier alone are sincere? Do you not have ANY hobbies or interests and interact with other real live people? It is absolutely common for those enjoying something to post/talk about it. I don’t understand how you don’t get that unless you’ve never sincerely enjoyed anything and had someone to share that feeling with.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/24 03:14 AM

Really? So pretty much every person on line is lying about being happy single (or married, or having kids, or having xyz hobby or traveling etc…………)? People “advertise” they’re happy about a thousand things. It’s the whole point of social media. Hey, I like thins thing. Maybe you would too. Or hey, I thought I couldn’t do xyz but I can, isn’t that cool?

The whole point is that if you don’t want to be called ze/zir, you won’t be. You’re making shit up. I’m so sorry you’re too delicate to call someone else “they” or whatever they want to be called, but you also have the option of just calling them by name every time you refer to them (look, a singular pronoun! Scary!). And if that makes you mad enough to commit physical violence, YOU need therapy more than they do

I absolutely disagree. I’m Canadian, connected to the therapy community and Peterson is getting grief for his psychology and his politics. But more his comments related to psychology. He’s made sexist and bigoted statements and the College stays out of politics until your public comments go against professional standards, which his have. There are plenty of people I don’t like because of their politics. Peterson isn’t one. He’s dangerous & knows it. He’s actually tried to defend himself by sayin…

If a man comes here and says he had a particular experience, I definitely do not call him a liar. But if he says all women/society do/feel/think this, I’ll absolutely tell him he’s wrong and being misled. Notice I said some me ? And I’m referring to incel/red pill/manosphere spaces where this toxic bubble exists, not in the general public.

I always tell people therapy is good for everyone. Not just when you think you have a particular issue. Therapy can help you identify what, if anything, you need to change, grow, accept, or understand so you can be the best you. And only the best you can have the best life. Good luck.

I’m hoping that if you leave this sun it’s because you recognize this who manopshere “pill” thing is just toxic and wrong. Even the “blue pill” Guys keep asking why it was so much easier to date in the 80/90s? Because we didn’t have the internet amplifying the absolute worse takes on everything. Tbh? Whether it was a glitch or not, I couldn’t choose “no pill” and a friend asked me to join the sub because he said a women’s POV here actually helped him out of the “manosphere” mindset he was getting sucked into (This was before we’d become friends). I’m fading things the way you wrote them. It’s not my fault if you think you’re saying something other than what it reads. A statement of “in reality”, even if preceded with a separate sentence of opinion, is still presenting something as fact. Then saying “which is true” after stating something, even if what you stated was an opinion, is saying your opinion happens to represent something that is fact. No different than if I said “I just said the sky is purple. Which is true”. That statement, ac…

“When in reality women are the ones who care way more” You represented your claim as fact. And double down by saying “and it’s true” in this latest comment. And again, it doesn’t say women care more, it says they prefer more of a height difference than men do. It doesn’t say men care less, it says they care about a lower differential. So either provide sources for what you’re claiming, or stop trying to present any of this as facts. If it’s your feelings, fine, then say so. But stop speaking for…

I truly have no idea. He’s not the only guy I’ve dated who was shorter than I (at least when I wear heels, which is almost always) but he’s the only one who made it an issue, weeks after insisting he dated women taller than him all the time. He even made a lighthearted joke about it since the avg height for women here is 5’5”, he was 50/50 on ever dating someone shorter, so why would he limit his dating pool? The study you quote says women want more of a height difference than men, but that men …

I didnt care my BF was 5’5” and he said he didn’t care I was taller, but within weeks he’d started asking me to not wear heels or stand a certain way. And it just got worse from there. Standard go-to response of the emotionally stunted & clueless man who thinks (claims) he knows women. While we all nod & smile. Sure little dude. They’re all hitting on you and can’t possibly be lesbian 🙄
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/24 05:33 AM

No, actually I don’t. I pity you that you have no real friendships. I value my male friends just as much and hold their confidences just as closely as any female friend’s. I bring them treats when they’re having a bad week. We go for drives to discuss new music & local politics. We text about how his kids are doing (he’s teaching them how to detail cars at 6 & 8yo lol). I know you won’t (can’t) believe that, and that’s why I pity you.

If you’re as pleasant to deal with as a menstrual period, that’s not exactly a flex. My males friends cry in my shoulder more than I ever vent to them. I have a whole host of friends & family who are used to being emotionally honest, whereas men are starved for friendship and someone they can talk to and admit actual feelings to. The manosphere has serverely stunted men’s emotional growth for many men. And your red pill nonsense is proof of it.

Not when they got together… And there are women who, knowing they’ll never even meet him and have no “stake” in the conversation, say they find him attractive. Unconventionally, but they find him attractive. People who insist it’s 100% looks (&/or height, money, whatever) are just not able or willing to accept what they’re being told, that it is NOT that cute & dried and “the manosphere” is fear-mongering.

Any man I date has to be able to support himself financially. Not me, just him. He should be able to at least occasionally treat on dates, but not even 50% of the time, nor do they need to be expensive dates. I’d be happier with a homemade $15 picnic in the park & feeding ducks than a $60+ movie date. He has to be able care for himself & his domicile. Peterson has made many sexist statements. For just a quick overview, start here https://www.refinery29.com/en-us/2018/05/199599/jordan-peterson-men-masculinity-quotes but search for Jordan Peterson sexist/misogynistic statements and you’ll find lots more. There’s also his bigoted statements regarding sexual orientation and gender identity, among many other statements. He’s made the occasional statement or point that makes sense, but his non-offensive material doesn’t excuse the rest of it.

Oh FFS. If “social events” doesn’t include “dates” for you, I pity you even more. I don’t need to approach men. I choose to if I’m interested. Which is what men here are whining they want. I hate to tell you this, but outside, in the real world, red pill is NOT mainstream and popular. And your reality might be all you say it is. In which case I feel deep pity for you. But in my world (the one where we all touch grass and interact with others as people, not monoliths or objects), women invite men in dates, pay for dates, plan dates, make gestures like making their favourite food or doing other little “acts of service”, have their own damn cars and give men rides just as often as th…

I was about to provide citations for the fact women contribute more taxes to the system and so not always get the same benefit from “the state” but then saw your comments of “Women have to work for men’s money” and “the state shouldn’t be financing women’s ability to stay away from men”, and… to be honest, you creep me out with those statements and I don’t want to converse with you. He called me a “blue haired land whale” for calling him “little dude” because he was mad I didn’t agree with Peterson. If that’s not red pill or extreme, you do you. But I’m not going to be a “good quiet girl” and I will match energy given. Women are tired of being doormats and accepting insults without giving some back. Again, I pita all y’all’s social lives then. Every woman I know has asked men out. Not always for first dates - I agree more men still do that - but after that? If she’s interested, she’ll often say things like “I had a great time, can we do this again”? If you don’t see that as an invite (since the follow up is usually either “what do you have in mind, I look forward to hearing from you, or I’ll call you), all I can say is maybe she’s just not that into you? Most people believe that on line personalities are much like the saying “drunk words are sober thoughts”. When you’re insulated by anonymity or social media, the “real you” comes out. And no one wants to take the chance in that being the case. Ok? And? Yes, men still make most of the first approaches for first dates. If it bothers you so much, make it clear you want to split the bill. 90% of women either prefer that on a first date or don’t care. The fact that you think otherwise is an indicator of either the company you keep or the “manosphere” garbage you’ve been suckered into believing.

I’m not triggered. I’m quite happy, thank you. Why are men leaving the west and go to Asia to find wives? First, how many are successful? I think, with all kindness, you might benefit from therapy to investigate why you’d feel guilty (unworthy) of minor (& reciprocal) gifts from friends. You don’t owe them. They are using a tangible item to express their happiness & thankfulness for your friendship. If I buy my friend ghost pepper beef jerky when I order my mild-ass lemon pepper jerky, I don’t want him to feel guilty. I want him to feel happy. The fact you’d feel you “owe” someone if they treated you to lunch (assuming you also occasionally did the same) is kinda concerning. Or sad. In a romantic context I get it, because a lot of men DO admit they think women “owe” them something if/when they pay for things. Your end comment is exactly what I mean about normal people being reasonable. You recognize in some cases one person paying the bill may simply be due to being able to afford it and issuing the invite, not because the invitee has dastardly plans for his wealth 😂 I also think people should be a little clearer about intentions before the date starts. I don’t agree. If there’s not a second date, who’s to say that wasn’t his decision? Or a mutual decision? And what if, like I do, the person who invites, pays. Do I then tell HIM he has to split the cheque because I decided not to pursue a further relationship? People on social media (no real person I know makes it this complicated and divisive) make it sound like an all out gender war where no one is dating for mutual enjoyment but only to use each other for sex or money.

I knew a few “starving college students” who’d try, but didn’t realize most of their dating pool were other starving college students lol. I really do prefer the person who invites is the person who plans & pays. And ideally, that should go back & forth in a roughly equal manner. I happened to invite/plan more dates than my BF because of his work schedule, so he’d insist on paying frequently. Did you miss the “taking turns treating each other”?? I prefer taking turns paying too. It does seem more like a treat - both received and given. But if someone wants to always split the bill, I don’t care about it from a $ standpoint (I make good money), but it does make things feel impersonal.

On a social media discussion, 98% is going to be anecdotal. But I can also tell you I have several m/f friends who do similar things for each other. My male friend doesn’t “hit me up” - we check in with each other every week or two. and friends pay attention to each other - it’s kinda the point to friendship. It seems like you’ve never had healthy friendships. So, if I’m being honest, perhaps in YOUR world friendship is transactional and men can’t be friends with women without putting them the f…

I’ll have to let my very good guy friend know he’s getting nothing out of this entirely platonic friendship lol. Except imported beef jerky when I order it. And gluten free cheesecake when I get around to baking. And someone to listen to him bitch about work without trying to “fix it” or ask him to take out the garbage. Or a shared love of new music that we send back & forth. He’s quite literally said that in his single days, he’d sleep with almost anyone, but he wouldn’t want to wreck our frien…

I see “raising standards” being a good thing when it’s not accepting abuse, a dead bedroom, inequity in effort in a relationship, etc. Not “I deserve a virgin mommy-bang-maid who sleeps with me in the first date” or “I deserve 6/6/6 while I do nothing”. And people seem to not see the difference. Effort looks different for men vs. women, but because of the noise & static from social media/influencers, no one’s interested in learning how to be a good partner, how to communicate, how to fix problem…

If it’s such a small issue, why doesn’t the husband actually DO whatever it is that’s causing so much unhappiness for his wife? 5 feet of dirt is still 5 feet of dirt. My ex said it drove him crazy I didn’t close the garage door, even on nice days & you couldn’t see it from the street, but it “drove him crazy” so I just started closing it 🤷

I think some self reflection does come with age, yes. But even when we were in our 20’s, the gender divide wasn’t as acrimonious as it is today. And as boomerish (although I’m Gen-X) it sounds, I do blame social media in that it gives people like Tate, Peterson and women who promote “6/6/6” idiocy more reach & credibility than they should have.

And in my 40+ years, I have friends that tell me they f’d up their relationship by focusing too much on being a mother & no longer a wife. And that they took their husband for granted. Until it was too late. Im not blaming men for these actions in every breakup. I’m saying it’s common when a woman leaves the relationship and more specifically my relationship. What else could I have done? If he had complaints, he did not share them. When asked if “we” had some issues we needed to talk about, he’d say no, everything’s great. And from his perspective, maybe it was. And in this case, it was his fault. Believe it or not, that actually does happen. I’m not taking blame for something I didn’t create and tried to avoid. FFS. I didn’t make generalizations. There are studies. You made generalizations. Just you saying so doesn’t make it so. Read what I said again. I’m not saying some women don’t cheat. And you ignored everything else I said too. You’re just proving my point that a lot of men, of whom you seem to be one, cannot fathom that most women don’t and that maybe the breakup wasn’t as sudden and shocking as they seem to think it was, and it certainly wasn’t just because she got the hots for someone else.

I guess I know a lot of exceptions then, since every LTR (living together) breakup amongst my friend group that wasn’t due to cheating went pretty much the same way. If a man doesn’t take his SO’s insistent request for couple’s therapy as a sign there’s something seriously wrong, I don’t know how much more clear those women had to be. All the men who insist most women cheat or have someone lined up before leaving are saying that to make themselves look/feel better. And then insist women can’t take accountability??? I’m not saying some women don’t cheat. But the fact remains, men cheat more often than women. Men move on after a breakup faster than women. Just Google it. Study after study agree with those two points.

It’s very easy to lose your attraction to a guy who, when you met & started dating, had his shit together, was a full-on adult and seemed to care about what I felt who turned into a man-child who couldn’t pick his clothes off the floor, throw out his own trash or make his own dinner when I worked late. Women aren’t attracted to children.

Women used to do a large majority of the housework. Let’s say, just for this example, 85% of regular housework, childcare and mental load. They also, largely, didn’t work full time. Now they work full time, but are still the primary contact for children, so they work slightly less hours in paid work than men. Men have started doing more around the house & with kids, but it’s not equal. So maybe the numbers are closer to women doing 65% instead of 85%. Women doing more housework than men and men …

Every source I have found says the opposite. When paid work only is discussed, men work more hours. Gender pay gap and gender unpaid work load are indicated as being partially responsible for that. However, when unpaid work is included, women work more than men. https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2017/06/its-official-women-work-nearly-an-hour-longer-than-men-every-day/

The fact you don’t think everything you’ve said is highly problematic is highly problematic. Including consent. I’ve told you I don’t wish to converse with you because you have nothing to offer. You’ve made it clear you’re a walking red flag, you’d be predatory to female friends, except you don’t have any, and you believe “facts” you can’t back up and that can be proven opposite easily. Hahahahahaha Citation required The fact you don’t have female friends is not up to you 😂. They’ve made that decision without you. “Men are at peace,..without women”. Right. That’s why men live longer with a woman in their lives. Scientifically proven. And also proven is that single women are happiest. So choosing a man isn’t choosing the best worst option, it’s choosing one who is better than being alone. Which is a bar a LOT of men don’t meet.

I’m sorry you’ve had such shitty GFs in the past. If you’re going by personal experience. But by talking about “you women” as a monolith, I’m thinking not. If a woman is flirting with my BF and he doesn’t respond, why do I care? He doesn’t have to make a production of rejecting her, just walk away. Or not respond at all. He can’t control how other women may speak to him or look at him. He only controls what HE does. And that’s all I care about.

You’re such a freaking stereotype. “That she will try to deny”. So if I don’t deny it, it’s true. But if I do deny it, it’s true anyway? Get a life. I may not respect someone who tries to control my friendships by “being uncomfortable” with normal interactions. I’m deciding if what makes him uncomfortable is reasonable to me. If he’s uncomfortable because a lifelong friend texts me once every day, or we do lunch every Thursday to catch up, that’s absolutely a “him” problem. I’m not deciding what makes him uncomfortable. I’m deciding whether or not that’s my problem to solve.

Bullshit Lots of men have issues with male friends. Completely platonic, well behaved male friends. If a male friend were to touch me inappropriately I’d knock his block off. If a BF were to tell me he was uncomfortable when my male friend did xyz I’d decide for myself if that was something he’d have to get over because it was ridiculous or if it was something I’d tell my friend to stop because although I know it’s platonic, it bothers my BF.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 02:20 AM

Perhaps I phrased it poorly, but I mainly agree with you. An insecurity being verbalized to control others isn’t a vulnerability. An insecurity verbalized to that person in an attempt to get over it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 02:11 AM

Insecure ≠ vulnerable Insecure is the guy insisting we have no male friends or that we can’t wear heels because he wouldn’t be taller than us. Vulnerable is telling us he sometimes feels insecure because we have make friends, but he wants to get past it because he recognizes it’s a “him” issue and not our job to placate his baseless jealousy. Vulnerable is crying in private when a family member dies and letting us console him.

And I’ve yet to see women arguing with men, in men only spaces about men’s problems about whether or not they can have safe spaces. So now what? Anecdotal evidence from both sides… The closest I’ve ever seen is when women complain about literally unsafe, reportable behavior. So if that’s the “safe space” convo you’re trying to protect, cry about it.

This insistence you have at ignoring women’s spaces is disturbing but not surprising. I don’t care if you don’t tell women in men’s spaces to F OFF. They shouldn’t be there. They shouldn’t be talking over men in their own spaces about their own feelings. So women aren’t dressing sexy for themselves and if they do, they’re narcissistic? I also dress my best when I go out, and at home, mainly when I’m feeling a little low. Knowing I look my best makes me feel more confident and comfortable with myself. You argue it is hair & makeup, then say it isn’t. /r/PurplePillDebate06/02/24 07:52 PM

Then let me explain it, simply. Elon musk is considered by some to be “awkward”, to some “on the spectrum” and to some a racist, sexist red pill/incel “hero”. So someone just saying “awkward like Elon musk” that could mean several different things.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/24 11:45 AM

Then I would recommend group dates until he relaxes a little and someone can get to see through the awkwardness. If a group goes bowling, dinner dates, trivia nights, it gives him a chance to be with other people he’s already less awkward with.

You also compared him to Elon musk. I don’t know in what way you meant, but musk isn’t just “awkward”, he’s a right wing leaning creep who stinks of red pill/incel ideology. I honestly wouldn’t date him with his billions. If your friend espouses the same ideology (pushing the envelope on racist, bigotry, sexist, etc.), not a lot of women are going to be attracted to that long enough to get past a few dates, even if he does have money.

I just did a simple google search and there are 4 separate studies on the first page that report single women are happier. Even IF the original study was faulty, and I have my own thoughts on that, it doesn’t change the fact there have been multiple studies since that still say the same thing. Men don’t want to be live that? Well, it doesn’t make women any unhappier but it does seem to make men upset to hear it.

“What they do” Divorce deadweight husbands Go back to school Report they’re happier Make more money Develop hobbies & join clubs Reconnect with family & friends get mental health treatment commit suicide less Maybe if men need to look for/accept mental health help and antidepressants more, they wouldn’t commit subdue at 3.9x the rate as women

And pretty much ever single woman I know, including myself, are happier. So, stale mate? And if a woman doesn’t want to be single, yes, she may be unhappy. But that’s not the only reason women are happy/unhappy. Or you could just accept there are actual studies less than 13+ years old that support that single women age the happiest cohort and that number is rising every year they’ve studied it.

There’s so much missing and wrong with posting this over a decade old study that you’re either purposely ignoring or truly ignorant about & I just don’t have the energy to try to explain to someone who’s insisting my own experience isn’t real.

I have some background in mental health and volunteer at a men’s support center. It’s informal talk therapy, although licensed therapists are also available and supports men experiencing homelessness, DV, mental health issues, and socialization.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/24 01:41 AM

Single women are the happiest cohort and that has been increasing. Women have been supporting themselves and leaving bad relationships for going on 40 years and that’s increasing. Nothing is going to suddenly reverse that within the next 6 or even 16 years. Women are saying out loud what they want (emotional stability & availability, a true partner in the home, someone they’re not a mommy-bangmaid to) and a lot of men aren’t listening. And just continue to blame it on “unrealistic standards”. An…

By “comfortable” I meant financially. As in, not worrying about where your next meal is coming for or if you can afford a sudden medical issue like little Tammy falling out of a tree & breaking an arm. If a woman finds running the household & performing 90% of household & childraising chores, good for her. Go for it. But that’s unfortunately not a realistic expectation anymore due to expenses. And if she has to work outside the home, it follows that he then has to work more inside the home.

I am Gen-X and none of my contemporaries are ok with the mother doing 90% of the housework or child raising if she works FT. I know they do a lot more mental labour with the kids, but not pulling their own weight around with the kids (the physical care aspect) gets a lot of Gen-X people divorced these days. It may have started out acceptable but I think Gen-X was the generation where women started losing patience with being expected to “do it all” in housework or childcare.

And I’m sure NY doesn’t help real estate prices. What’s your point? You’re trying SO hard to make what I said outrageous or unreasonable but I never said it was impossible. I said it depends on where you live. Next time read my comment before assuming you’re right about everything that I didnt say

Where did I say ANYTHING like what you’re blathering on about? I raised a straightforward, non judgmental issue with affording a traditional marriage on one salary, and you go straight to bashing women. I said if she is still expected to do 90% and still work outside the home. Then yes, in that case he’s obviously sitting on his ass when he gets home. Which is kind of the deal and the agreement if a women chooses a traditional marriage. No hate for it, but if you can’t admit to facts… I can see …

That absolutely depends on where you live. $50k does NOT get you a middle class life with kids in most places in NA. And definitely not a house. Considering: How much of a mortgage can I get with a 50K salary? You can generally afford a home for between $180,000 and $250,000 (perhaps nearly $300,000) on a $50K salary. How much does a home cost in the United States? According to data from the National Association of Realtors, the median price for an existing home — one that's already standing, no…

And there are men who want the benefits of a traditional wife but who can’t/won’t provide it. What both sides often overlook is that it’s nearly impossible to have a comfortable life with children (not extravagant, just comfortable) lifestyle on one salary so a lot of men want the traditional wife who used to do 90% of the housework & child raising but still expect (need) her to work for money. That’s no longer a “traditional” marriage and women who get into that situation soon learn it’s not su…

I used to love going to clubs to dance with my friends. My ex wasn’t really a clubbing kinda guy, and we often just wanted “girls night”. But he was also told where we were going & could stop by for a surprise drink any time. So once in a blue moon, he’d show up & buy us a round, see we were safe & happy, & head out. It worked for us.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/24 08:26 AM

I think it depends on how it’s presented. I would never tell anyone what they can or cannot do. But if I said something like “I only sleep with on person at a time. So I don’t sleep with someone I’m ‘dating’ unless/until we’re on the same page. How do you feel about that?” Then someone is free to say “I normally sleep with multiple people if I’m dating/seeing multiple people so I’d find that restricting.” Then it’s up to me to decide to either be ok with that, or say thank you for being honest a…

And before marriage, women still very often had to have their father co-sign for credit cards, loans, leases, etc. so it was being controlled by your father or a husband. Great choice 🙄 Just because some women could, didn’t mean it was all women’s ability to do so. And until it was, getting married was often the only way out from under their father’s thumb.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/24 11:24 AM

Women couldn’t have freaking bank accounts or credit cards without a father or husband’s co-sign right into the 1970s FFS. My own mother experienced DV and had issues getting out due to those things. This is literally part of my family history.

Ok. So you can’t take no for an answer, don’t believe in consent, and can’t read your own damned comment. Or won’t take responsibility for things you say. Since you should be on a watch list somewhere, I’m just going to block you. Hope you respect consent more with people in real life.

She said she was in BC so I’m outtie”. She’s still also paying, so it’s not like this is some get rich scam. How is that no financial impact? Just admit you want zero chance of responsibility. You’re the one calling it “trapped”. What happened to all the accidental pregnancies, broken “promises” between couples, etc? You make it, you’re responsible for it. It’s a simple concept. Really, it is. Wear a condom. Sleep with women you plan to marry/have a family with. If you’re that worried, get snipped or stay celibate. All things they tell women already. And women also have to pay to raise that kid. It’s not like the sperm donor is on the hook for 100%. And in this case, equal rights mean…

Absolutely. I also admitted, that both men & women can lie. But failing BC doesn’t bolster your argument. The bottom line is if it takes 2 to make it, it takes 2 to pay to raise it. No matter how it got here. And you didn’t answer what happens to all the men who suddenly decide to tell a judge they never wanted the kid/used BC/she lied (even if she didn’t) to avoid having to pay for a child, that was the product of, at the time, a consensual non-protected sexual encounter. There’s no fool proof …

I didn’t just say rape. Coercion, stealthing, changing their mind after the fact… all non consensual unprotected sex. So it’s not as minuscule as you claim. Plus, add the accidental pregnancies like BC failing… And you are absolutely moving the goalposts. First you’re saying if a woman chooses to have the baby the father should be able to avoid his financial responsibilities because she could have had an abortion, then you moralize about that abortion. And since a man can’t perform the pregnancy…

“Whim”. Yes, women are running to abortion clinics, skipping and singing. And “allows it happen”? Please. As if you don’t know many abortions are not due to consensual non-protected sex. And now you’re moving the goalposts. We weren’t arguing the ethics of birth control. You were trying to make a case for a man being able to avoid financial responsibility if a woman didn’t chose an abortion.

Absolutely not. But the number of men who can’t tell “social event/environment” from “I’m running errands/doing something obviously solo” is next to zero. I’ve had 100 times as many cold approaches while running errands as I have in a bar or art show, etc.

That’s something, an expectation, that should absolutely be discussed immediately. I usually only sleep with one person at a time (you know what I mean) so it’s not a big deal for me, but if I expected someone to be sexually monogamous from the first date, I’d be telling them that on the first date. I think you’ll find more women are attracted to a man who betters himself/his life for his own sake more attractive than one doing it in a sketchy and insincere manner just to get laid (or even to get a relationship). I really think happiness is sometimes a choice. Or a recognition of letting go of societal expectations. I thought I needed to be in a relationship to be “happy” or “complete”. Once I realized I didn’t, and stopped feeling there was something wrong with me for feeling that way, life got so much easier. And therefore happier.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/23 09:40 PM

There are also studies that show unmarried childfree (not childLESS) women are the happiest segment of society. I’m absolutely one of them. I’ve had 2 LTR relationships in my life, as well as casually dating in between, and I’ve never been happier than I am now, a “cat lady of a certain age”.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/23 09:11 PM

And you can’t take no for an answer. Shocker. I’m not heated, I’m icked out. I’m not the one who started whining about why men are lonely (woman bad) and tell me I’m not reading it right? You changed the topic mid-comment. Like had any bearing on whether or not men got sympathy or was ever a topic of conversation? Be disappointed all you like. But at least go away disappointed. Or do I actually have to block you? because telling you “no” isn’t working.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/23 03:10 PM

I didn’t speak for all women, nor all men. You’re saying not all men can project onto women but here you are, doing that to me. And what are you going on about that some men have been done wrong by women? How does that relate to whether or not lonely men get sympathy? Of course some men have been unjustly hurt by women. Where did I say they weren’t? But why am I supposed to be “admitting” to that? Is it just to make you feel “right” about something? It has nothing to do with the subject at hand.…

Because I’ve offered sympathy? FFS. Where do you think lonely men are supposed to get sympathy? Walmart? From other people. And as one of those people, I’m telling you, genuinely lonely men often get real sympathy. You sound like one of the ones I don’t sympathize with so I can understand your confusion.

Who’s the woman? You or me? Who has the most female friends do you think? I’m going with my actual real life experience over a tiny, somewhat flawed “study”. We don’t have more studies proving this because it’s not true. There are plenty of studies regarding things that don’t paint women in the best light. And academia doesn’t care - they’ll study anything. And as I said, yes there are things that are objectively attractive, but you’re conflating that with subjective attractiveness. It’s like yo…

You misunderstood me. On purpose or not, I don’t know. Every one of my friends find Channing Tatum attractive. I do not. There are men I find attractive that friends do not. Tatum is just the first example I thought of. I could have also said Tom Hiddleston or John Krasinksi. All are objectively handsome and considered handsome by most women I know. They’re not my cup of tea. And as for the OK Cupid poll, women on one dating app said they found 80% of men under average or unattractive. That’s a …

You’re confusing Leonard with Johnny Galecki. Johnny Galecki is good looking. I truly believe personal attractiveness is subjective. People I find attractive aren’t attractive to some of my friends, and there those who swoon over people like Channing Tatum where I find him boring-looking. There are “societal norms” of attractiveness that can be quantified, but what each person prefers is definitely subjective.

I don’t necessarily agree that women don’t sympathize with men. Genuinely lonely men (& women) get sympathy. But I mean normal, reasonable lonely people. Not the incel/RP version of lonely which apparently is just having sex with everyone they want. But I love the fact none of them can get it through their heads that “lonely” isn’t solved by having sex with just anyone.

I’ve notice women will say other women are beautiful, quite easily. Whereas men are immediately accused of being gay if they even hunt that they find another man attractive. That, unfortunately, is another symptom and result of toxic masculinity. But attractiveness is so subjective that although you say Leonard (not Johnny Galecki) is attractive, most people do not and he was meant to be at very best average, not cute or handsome

I empathize with anyone is is lonely. Male, female, conventionally attractive or not. The only time I take issue with a “lonely man” is when they make it my (or another woman’s) problem/fault. Whether it’s blaming women whose standards he doest meet (for whatever reason) or me for firmly rejecting sexual advances & ending the friendship if he doesn’t accept that gracefully, men who blame others, often in incel/RP tropes and toxic language, for his loneliness no longer deserve empathy.

I truly think many men cannot see the line between masculinity and toxic masculinity. For example, no one said you have to act docile and submissive in order not to be an aggressive dangerous man. If a man raises his voice to me to asset dominance, or a hand (ever, unless I’m serious self defense) that’s toxic masculinity. That’s supposed to mean a not raised voice is docile or submissive?

Manipulation is a form of force. Grooming is manipulation. But apparently that floats your boat. I don’t want to converse with you further because I think it’s creepy to blame a 17yo over a 28yo. You really want to blame a 17yo for being impressed when a 28yo put effort into it? Go nuts if that makes sense to you. Because I was groomed. Nice to see you’re catching on. Old men are more established than a 17yo boy and can use money, experience, influence to impress & manipulate women so much younger than they. I wasn’t even legally an adult. But most of the guys here don’t care, because a) I was past the age of consent or b) I knew exactly what I was doing. It’s not hard for a 28yo man to outshine a hypothetical 17yo boy. And you know it.

It’s amazing how many men claim to know the experiences and inner thoughts of women. “They knew very well what they were doing” Tell that to my 17yo self being groomed by a 28yo. Oh yeah, I was totally the one in charge in that relationship. 🤡

No wonder things are so f’d up if people think this crap. You’re wrong. “Grooming can happen when there is a power differential within a relationship, which the abuser exploits for their own gratification. This is most commonly recognised as a tactic used by perpetrators of child sexual abuse, both on children and parents. However, adults can also be groomed.” It’s about the power imbalance which is what we8re talking about when we say older men groom younger women.

You say that’s not out of the ordinary and I actually agree. But I’ve been told (harangued at) that it’s not the norm and my experience is either a freak accident or I’m lying or I knew he has money or blah blah blah. If you are decently groomed & dressed, no one is making presumptions about your income. Also, many people don’t agree with what “a real job” is. That was just one example. And the only issue you took notice of. Not that some men refuse to listen to/do what a woman needs to orgasm. Not that women know how to touch themselves. Not that some men refuse to put more effort in than just PIV sex. Your only takeaway was the toys? I’ve also heard of men refusing to do oral, refusing to use their fingers as instructed or being appalled if a woman touches herself while they are having sex. Because women touch themselves in ways they know work, and a lot of men refuse to put any more effort into it than PIV sex. I’ve read a lot of posts where men have freaked TF out if their partner wanted to introduce toys into their sex routine because she couldn’t orgasm through penetrative sex. Men will almost 100% orgasm through PIV sex. So if a man refuses to listen to/do what a woman needs to orgasm but a woman will, that explains the orgasm gap.

Although there are definitely women out there who have higher standards than I would find realistic, they’re allowed to have them. Just as men are. However, I don’t know any of them. Most are like me. I want a man who’s either my height (5’7”) or not subconscious about being shorter (because I don’t care but if he he does, it impacts his self esteem in an unhealthy way and it’s not good for a relationship), makes enough to support himself (rent, transportation, groceries, etc - I’m not asking hi…

I’m happy for your mother. But the fact women couldn’t have a credit card or a bank loan without hubby’s approval kinda says otherwise. Women have had to “handle” men’s moods for decades. Be soft. Be compliant. Be pleasant. Be non confrontational. Or what? Or not “be allowed” get a credit card. Or get abused in ways that weren’t even illegal until relatively recently.

Using the phrase “before” makes me feel like you’ve noticed women have generally stopped being pliant and agreeable when being criticized by men. We’ve begun “matching energy” and many think it’s “aggressive” or “hostile”, when in reality, we’re just responding in similar ways men do. I’m not going to nod & smile while you criticize me or let you pat me on the head, infantilize me or be sexist without speaking up. More and more women are speaking up and I see more and more men saying it’s a turn…

Yeah, see there’s the problem. Intellectual guy? Kinda intriguing. Maybe hot. Intellectual guy who’s cultivating intellect to “get them bitches”? 🤮 We’re not stupid. That red pill/incel/Tate crap attitude kills any points you mighta had going for you with the “cute nerdy guy” or the “wicked smart guy”. It’s just another “angle”. Another PUA thing. And we’re out.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/23 06:57 AM

That “boys will be boys” bullshit of pulling your pigtails/negging is pathetic. An instant turnoff. I have no problem with lighthearted teasing when you know someone and your respect for them has been established, but to use it as a flirting technique is just ick. It’s childish at best and manipulative at worst.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/23 10:20 PM

It’s called negging and should have died in the 2010s when women started realizing what was going on. Now men are just shooting themselves in the foot when they do it, since instead of making a woman insecure, it just kills any attraction she may have had for the guy.

I’m not “roaring”. I’m trying to have a civil conversation to correct your mis assumptions but you just cannot accept a woman might not actually be miserable. Who TF said I’m making it for him? God you project a lot. We make multiple meals for an old age care home. Who TF is making dinner at 2pm? We’re delivering, then he’s making me pizza. You really need to get with this century and let go of your toxic and way-outdated notions. You fail every time you try to insult me. You have a strange idea of what “losing one’s shit” or “unhappy” is. Who said I don’t have a man? I’m making beef bourguinon from scratch and he’s making drinks on a snowy, lazy Sunday afternoon. We’re laughing together about my apparent “sad state”. In my paid-for house. After which he can return to his house if he wishes. Yes, but not money, as you all seem to think. We want 50% EFFORT. 50% around the house, with the kids, planning and social obligations, care & attention, thoughtfulness. If I can pay my own bills (which I do), can manage my own house (which I do), can spend attention & care on a partner, why the hell would I want a man who doesn’t pull his own weight?

Since I do 100% of all of that when single, damned right I want a man to put in 50% if we’re in a relationship. 50% effort at least. Enough to support himself financially, even if it’s not as much as I make/spend. And yes, I have fixed a flood and I have my own firearms and I can afford my own bills and to pay someone to do anything I’m not talented enough to do myself. So why shouldn’t a man put in 50%?

And it sucks. But it doesn’t help anyone in the long run. I know my little organization tries, but it’s a huge, systematic, deeply-rooted issue that’s going to take more than a few ads from a local shelter, ya know? Which sucks, because it’s a vicious cycle. I don’t agree. Men not showing up absolutely 100% IS an indication of demand. The need may be there. I’m not saying DV on men doesn’t exist. But NO ONE gets to complain we don’t offer services when we do… for two whole years… and no one even walks through the door. It’s also not lack of reach. We have 9k residents. We have our own local radio station & newspaper, both stupidly involved in community affairs. You’d have to be blind, deaf & dumb not to know we had shelters and DV programs for both …

I wouldn’t know since I’m not a man experiencing DV and it would be highly inappropriate for me to be in their intake session or therapy. I DO know it was a program developed by men who’d experienced DV with male therapists and 95% male staff (just like how women’s DV a enters only have women staff to aid in comfort). They fought for funding and stayed open for TWO YEARS. The men’s homeless shelter remains open because it gets used. The women’s shelter & DV center is still open & funded because it IS used. Would you continue to pay thousands of dollars a month for something no one uses? For literally years? When other services that also support men go without?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 09:28 PM

Then why TF should we try to continue funding it? They did everything they could. Stayed open for TWO YEARS. Advertised discreetly. My small town has a shelter for men (specifically) and had a “wing” & a councilor for DV. That was shut down as men weren’t coming in for counseling, resources or to stay. I’m not( saying they don’t experience DV here, but they can’t be *made to take advantage of programs & resources, and we can’t afford to have rooms sitting empty and staff doing nothing, so I don’t know what the answer is here.

Way to go, ignoring my point about the ranges of the age gap relationship. There is evidence for & against the brain maturing at 25 and I was vastly simplifying the issue. As this article explains, “There’s consensus among neuroscientists that brain development continues into the 20s, but there’s far from any consensus about any specific age that defines the boundary between adolescence and adulthood.” I agree. This isn’t about women making decisions for themselves. Its not even about women - I didn’t specify any difference whether it was the man or woman being younger/older. it’s about equality in maturity, knowledge & power between partners no matter what gender they are. Every age gap relationship where the younger person is under 25yo is concerning to me after what I experienced and have seen with other similar age gap relationships of friends. No jealousy whatsoever. There’s a difference between a man telling me (whilst in a relationship or friendship) that he’s having a bad day. Or a tough time with a particular subject. Etc. And wants to vent. Or be comforted. Or experience empathy. As opposed to using me as therapist that I am not qualified to provide. As some point, if it’s the same issue/complaint and “venting” isn’t working, therapy is required. If there’s no baby, then the men aren’t paying child support. So if she had an abortion or he agreed to adoption, he’s just as much “off the hook” as he is. If there is a child, you show me where in developed countries women are not partially responsible for “raising” the baby - whether it be physically or financially. Are you this new or just trying to start an argument, unsupported by actual reality?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/23 12:05 AM

Absolutely not. If someone had a hand in making a baby, that person should have to have a hand in supporting that baby. If they don’t want to raise it, then at least pay for it. Like I said, women who give fathers custody are required to pay support.

Child support payments happen whether or not you got married, you soggy pop tart. And if 90% of women are getting child support, it’s because 90% of women are performing the child raising. Men who are taking the majority of child rearing (including housing & costs) are often awarded child support themselves.

If someone asks me out, and I politely decline (for whatever reason) and the response is “ok, just thought I’d ask” and then normal conversation/interaction, I wouldn’t be avoidant. But if the reaction is to badger me, disrespect my answer, bash me to others for saying no, etc., damned right I’m avoiding them going forward. That doesn’t change if you reverse the sexes.

Average height in Canada is 5’10”. At least 75% of the men I know are under 6’. Zero of them are hung up in their height. Most of them are either dating (casually) or in LTR/married. People who think being under 6’ is so bad as to ruin their life are simply keeping the wrong company. If I had a friend who shamed a guy for being under 6’, we would no longer be friends. So how does a woman square that with the same “alpha male” who goes on line and says women just date for free food? Either we’re rejecting their masculinity (which has nothing to do with who pays for dinner) by offering to split, especially since we don’t want to feel beholden to those same guys who also complain I’d they don’t get sex because “I paid for dinner!” Or we we let them pay and we’re gold diggers

Men say they want women to like/trust/date them? Well, this is part of it. I trust someone who’s an ally. Who doesn’t talk shit behind my back but insist he’s a “nice guy”. And yeah, if being friends with racists & bigots is important to you, the. No, we cannot be friends. Pretty simple really. I’m also not friends with women who laugh at racist jokes or body shame men OR women 🤷‍♀️

And there it is. “Waaaahhhhh. It’s all women’s fault”. All we asked for was for men to be an ally & speak up, but when you insist it’s not worth the effort (dog for it you have to try more than once) and it’s pointed out if you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem, it’s all women’s fault. You’re not a friend. You’re not an ally. You’re an apologist who says “whelp! I tried nothing, so nothing will work!” So you’re dismissed. Or am I going to have to block you, because you won’…

Secondly, show me the stats of all the “average” men successful at finding their “traditional, submissive” spouse by going to Passport Bro route. The post seemed to have the wrong interpretation of what women mean by “men holding men accountable” so I detailed what most women mean by that. So you’re saying if a guy’s getting laid but is a trash talking AH who degrades women in front of you, it’s not worth your time to say that’s not cool? May not change his attitude, but it certainly would say something about you. And if you’re helping cover for, or patting someone on the back for cheating, that’s just rewarding bad behavior. Which is wha…

When women say they want men to hold other men accountable, it’s: Don’t condone “locker room talk”. Sexist misogyny flourishes when other men find it funny and don’t speak out against it. Realize “the bro code” of things like covering for someone cheating or being abusive is wrong. It’s cowardly. You don’t want to be honorable because a man won’t like you? Weak & pathetic. Most women aren’t asking men to physically intervene in dangerous altercations - at least call the police or someone who can…

Where was the question of who initiates divorces?? That’s not part of the discussion. Nor does it say the those 80% of women initiating divorces are doing so solely due to infidelity. You made your fortune betting in the data. That women cheating is worse than men cheating?? Or betting on the “data” that 80% of divorces are initiated by women? Which, again, has nothing to do with the discussion at hand. And yet, you STILL did not cite ANY actual data anyway. Go away. Your arguments are irrelevan…

What data? If you’re going to claim “the data doesn’t support” what I’m saying, at least cite the data! And I asked 2 questions. Not statements. I made one statement. This is why “simplified generalization” is a sucky explanation. So if a woman cheats when her partner is away on business for a while, or in the military and away die weeks/months, it’s never because she just wants an itch scratched? And all the men who have become successful/made some money “stay” after cheating and never trade in their wives for the younger, hotter “trophy wife”? Men and women cheat for basically the same reason. Lack of honour, lack of loyalty and feeling they’re missing some…

Because I’m not currently dating those guys, that means I’m playing “what if”? Regardless of the fact those are the types of guys I’ve dated my entire life? And yeah, if those standards are what some men think are too high, they can be “right” if it makes them happy. My VERY first comment on this thread, first line, says “time & place”. A cold approach is when no eye contact has been made and there is reasonable belief a person is not in that location to “meet people”. E.g. reading a book in a coffee shop. Wearing headphones. With a group of people that they are clearly only interacting with (girl’s night), etc. One can approach someone anywhere, but if you open with a sexual remark outside conventionally accepted “time & place”, expect to be rejected. I see it as similar to a pre-nup. It’s a highly charged subject and one that should be addressed well in advance of being needed. If a couple has such serious disagreements about such things before marriage/becoming pregnant, they’re not well matched anyway. You’re being deliberately obtuse. If she could have cheated and gotten pregnant, he says he deserves a test to be sure it’s his If he could have cheated and gotten an STD, she should deserve equal peace of mind with a test. Since there’s no way of knowing how many times he cheated, it would have to be a test before every sexual encounter. Just like he could say he doesn’t have any guarantee just because one kid was his, doesn’t mean subsequent kids are, so they all need to be tested.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/23 02:57 AM

But it’s ok if he asks for a paternity test for every child? So it’s the exact same “risk” of cheating. She could get pregnant with someone else’s child (so he wants a test), vs. he could get an STD every time he cheated, so a test every time
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/23 02:53 AM

This seems closer to an analogy of a woman asking her husband/committed SO to get an STD test before every time they have sex. Since apparently cheating is never a zero percent chance, & women would be protecting themselves, would men be ok with that? If you ask your wife/SO for a paternity test (for each child), you’re implying you believe there’s a possibility she cheated. So her asking you for an STD test before every sexual encounter would be stating the same.

Women are seeking out good men. And that’s why so many (men and women) end up alone. Many women give up after a while because dating is a cesspool. We would literally rather be alone than a) be with someone we don’t consider a “good man” or b) have to continue putting ourselves through modern dating. There are definitely good men out there, but they’re becoming harder & harder to find, as Andrew Tate devotees, “alpha male”BS and incel culture continues to spread.

There’s a massive difference between someone who has low to no decor and doesn’t fold laundry vs. a man whose place makes you feel like you need an updated tetanus shot. Don’t have seasonal bed linens? No problem! don’t even change/wash bed linens seasonally? problem don’t fold laundry & kinda shove it in drawers? Meh has dirty laundry on the floor for weeks? 🤢 doesn’t have “decor” or fancy curtains? Couldn’t care less thinks someone who doesn’t think empty booze bottles and zero window covering…

Women who offer compliments to others choose things they DO like to compliment. It’s not a lie. If I run into an acquaintance, or even a stranger in a social setting, it doesn’t matter if I don’t like their hair - I can compliment their shoes because I do love them. We tend to focus on the positive. I’m not lying by not telling them I don’t like their hair - it just doesn’t serve any purpose to mention that if not asked. Men complain about not getting compliments or not having emotional support/…

I wouldn’t consider anyone a creep for asking to borrow a chair. But if I’m reading or studying or have headphone on, if Henry Cavill or Jason Mamoa interrupts me to leer/make sexual come-ons, I’d be broken-hearted to learn they’re a creep. It’s not the “attractiveness” of the man, it’s the appropriateness of the approach! Women keep saying this and men keep insisting otherwise. Fine. Listen to your incel echo chamber instead of… you know… actual women?

I happen to live in one of the most homogenous populations I’ve ever seen. I can tell you with absolute certainty my distaste of being catcalled or cold approached has nothing to do with race and everything to do with entitlement. I can’t believe I’m saying this, as I try to keep an open mind, but your “belief” is one of the most racist and bigoted takes I’ve ever heard. It’s not a covert complaint. It’s a completely up front, out loud and blatantly obvious complaint that men don’t get to cat ca…

Sincere question… how are these men “out of her league” if they’re sleeping with her?? Just because a woman is sleeping with a man, doesn’t mean she even wants to keep him long-term. The very fact he’s sleeping with her put him very much IN her league.

I accidentally stumbled across rateme and I’ve lost hope for any man posting in there. They’re delusional. 100% absolutely delulu. I’d love to see them rate men the way they rate women. There were literally super models and top list actresses being called “mid” 🤣

Your last sentence proves you dont speak for CF women, probably know nothing about them, and reduce their experience to a preconceived political opinion. CF women are vocal about their happiness specifically to express their authenticity to challenge the prevailing misconception all women have to want children or are “unfulfilled, lonely or bitter” without them. I’m not proving some political point, I’m speaking out against the disinformation and straight up misogyny of people like you.

Statistically, child free single women are the happiest. Child free women are next. That includes men. You don’t have to resort to creating a whole new being to be able to love unconditionally or make sacrifices for someone else’s good. As just one example, I am child free, well over 30, have a circle of cherished friends & family & spent almost 2 years providing palliative care for my mother, alone due to Covid, so she could pass away at home, not in a hospital. When I’m “old” I will have the l…

If “attractiveness” includes personality, 1000% an attractive poor man. As long as they’re relatively self-supporting (im no-one’s sugar mama). A poor man can increase his earning potential. A selfish/narcissistic/cruel man isn’t worth any amount of money.

That’s not “full on pick me”. That’s not even flirting with pick me. You just started acting like you were actually interested in someone and putting effort into the relationship.

If it’s a low cost date (coffee date, ice cream, etc) I prefer the inviter pay for the invitee. If it’s a more expensive date, I’d prefer to split. But I’m not going to be upset if someone sincerely wants to pay because they issued the invitation. And I always prefer to alternate who pays, or if he pays for dinner, I’ll pay for the movie tickets, etc.

There is certainly a very few but very vocal set of women who have this ridiculous 6/7/8 vs 6/6/6 BS, but not one woman I know requires that. They want someone who can support themselves & not be a financial drain on a relationship. They want someone who knows how to use what they have in the bedroom, not someone of a certain size who won’t even believe the clitoris or g spot even exists. They want someone who makes them feel beautiful and cherished, not someone who checks some arbitrary height …

Women love ONS with men who can bring them to orgasm. They don’t necessarily care if he’s a “high value man” (in your parlance) because they know it’s a ONS, not to build a life with. If a poor starving artist who’s not their ideal of “Prince Charming” can rock their world for a night, that’s the ONS they’re going for

So in my “female” job supporting a teamsters union that’s 98% male, and working 80+ hours a week during contract season I’m just working enough for myself? I’m not helping anyone? And don’t say it’s for male attention. I work fully remotely and never actual see/speak to the people I represent.

Thank you. I read that line 3 times to make sure he was really saying my garbage collection or plumber (both who happen to be male) only took those jobs from being horny enough to “keep their bubble in infrastructure”? and women benefit from this? Has to be one of the dumbest, least thought out statements I’ve ever read. Sure. It has nothing to do with employment, salary, career advancement, self fulfillment. It’s because they’re horny enough to “do the worst jobs”. Does that mean my yuppie insu…

1) MEN look up to Tate. Not the majority of women. So if men want to attract women, being a Tate devotee is counterproductive 2) the majority of women do NOT reward toxic masculinity 3) cite your source for this 2022 study proving women “ are actually more turned on by men who have anti-feminist beliefs”

I want to tell you how wrong you are, that lesbian does not equal bi and that you’re not going to make a lesbian bi but I have a feeling you’d ignore anything that didn’t confirm your conceited preconceived notions. You’re the reason women were more turned on by chimpanzee sex - it was more realistic and less misogynistic.

Women have increased their standards for dating. A portion of men have to decide whether to improve themselves (& therefore their chances of dating) or to not date. The power really is in their hands, but many refuse to believe it’s things within their control (personality, emotional maturity, etc) instead of things they do blame, like height or looks, neither of which is nearly as important to women as they think it is. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-state-our-unions/202208/whats-b…

Listening to this advice is part of the problem. “Most women” do NOT play games, and just want to be treated like actual people - not just objects you want sex from. And we can tell. You’re misunderstanding the “social language” you’re talking about. No means no, not “try harder”. The Friend Zone to us means you don’t see us as friends, you just pretended to be a friend, hoping to get laid. Do you hang out with your male friends, just hoping to fu¢k them? No? Well, that’s what we want out of a f…
