If you've lost interest in having kids and that was something that was expected/anticipated at some point, you two need to sort that out. My wife and I always wanted kids, but after I got out of the military, I changed my tune completely. Zero interest. Those were some stressing years as I pushed her through some self-exploration to see how important it was for her to have them (very) and how important it was for me to not have them (important, but not life-critical like it was for her). In the …

So she's drunk, says some stupid shit, gets yelled at for 10 minutes and goes home to cry. Sounds like a bad night, not divorce. I'd let her sleep it off and tackle this in the morning. Sounds like there's a lot more going on between the two of you.

Two things: When did she actually get home? The end of the story jumps from 10:45 "going to jeff's house" to her crying in the bedroom all night. And did you say anything back while walking by on the street? Info is missing. Second, and more important IMO, you've been married 9 months and you're already thinking divorce/"it's over" without even knowing the full story of what has happened. If that's the case, this was over before it even started. Not trying to shit on you here, but you're treatin…

I think he's testing the waters here. I'm assuming you two haven't discussed the topic before. On his end, there are things to do (ring shopping, sneaky-sneaky proposal planning), and it's nice to have at least an idea of how it will play out before going all-in. In my opinion, your reaction was perfectly fine and gave him all the info he needed. At this point, he knows you well enough to understand what your reaction means. You've done nothing wrong. If anything, I suspect his silence on the su…

Excellent! I hope it works out. Keep in mind he may still feel rejection with his ideas not being utilized, but it's also okay for you to do things your own way. Everyone is different, and that's fine. If he has a hard time handling you not doing something the way he thinks you should, don't ask for input on trivial things. While you may feel like that's a closure of communication, he'll probably feel better in the long run as he's now seeing less rejection of his ideas (all very generalized her…

My wife and I went through a period like this (her brother and his wife are dealing with it now - I mention this only in the hopes of displaying the commonality of the problem). Basically, she would ask for my opinion/input on something, I'd provide it, a small conversation would take place and she'd usually go against my suggestion. Nothing wrong with that, but after awhile, I got pretty jaded about providing input as it all felt pretty pointless. After some decent talks, we were able to sort o…

Please just be you. That's so important. You're either going to click with someone or you're not, so you may as well click with someone while being the most genuine version of you there is. If you're worried about what to say, ask questions and let him lead the way. If things stays casual, stay casual. If the conversation becomes more personal, decide if you're comfortable with opening up and go from there. I think it's pretty normal to want to impress people, especially if getting attention is …

Use of the word 'should' is a little odd here. It makes the question feel sinister IMO. If a situation calls for two people hanging out as only two people, then yes. The question is too vague to be answered beyond that.

If the relationship is in it's early stages, I don't see any reason why one person should pay more often than the other. Just take turns paying the full bill.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
