Understanding your role (for men AND women) is the foundation, it's not the building you live in. To me, if my man and I set that foundation, we can grow together and maintain respect. Don't get me wrong, I DO find pride in that but.... I'm an individual. I need to feel pride, empowerment, as a stand alone individual. If I don't have that I can find myself in a rut.
