There shouldn't be a quota in the first place. Companies should be free to hire whoever they want.

What's the medical justification for boys? Granted, there's nothing for girls, but the risks far outweigh the rewards for boys.

"In other words, the potential benefits of circumcision for reducing HIV in America are, at best, uncertain. Plus, we need to be mindful of the fact that while circumcision may reduce rates of HIV infection, it doesn't eliminate risk and it's nowhere near as effective as using condoms." This still doesn't outweigh the 2% risk of it being botched. Sure, your son might be fine, but you can't say that one success means the rate is 0. Luckily it turned out well for him, but it really couldn't have. …

Please provide a source saying that the benefits of circumcision outweigh the 2% risk of it getting botched (that's a lot more than it seems).

Cutting off part of his penis should be his choice and you've just taken that away from him. There are no major health benefits from cutting it Source. UTIs are reduced, but those are easily curable. On the other hand, 2% of circumcisions are botched Source, sometimes leading to far more risks than what is prevented by getting circumcised. In the end, you have to ask yourself if the risk is worth it. What are you really preventing by getting circumcised? The answer is not much. It's also importa…

He can make that decision himself. It's something he'll never get back. Why are you opposed to letting him make that choice himself and not being forced into it?

What is he gaining by being circumcised? Compare it to FGM. That's not OK, is it? Why should it be OK to do it to a boy?

Dude... Your son should have a choice. You're making the choice for him, something he can never undo, just because it looks good to you.

Don't you want to give your child a choice? If he prefers not to have it cut, he can make that choice later by himself.

The problem is that the woman being mentored could feel that the man has assaulted her at any moment. Using common sense won't help when some crazy woman calls you out for some idiotic reason.

It's like when everyone complains women or people of a certain race aren't represented in something. It should all be based on merit, not "I should be represented because of my color or gender"

So it would be the woman's choice but the man, if he wanted the child, would opt in. So if the woman wanted the child but the man didn't it's her choice whether or not to have it.
/r/MensRights23/12/17 05:08 PM

I agree with this, but how should it be legislated? If you give 50/50 choice, the woman will still always win. How can we make it so both sides get a say?
/r/MensRights23/12/17 04:48 PM

You're right. We shouldn't be focusing on generalizations in society. However, we do discuss the wage gap frequently, where there are studies and evidence to use.
/r/MensRights08/10/17 07:20 PM
1

I'm saying that society as a whole favors women. You're implying that it doesn't. You're right, you actually haven't stated that. No need for evidence. But, just like feminism, these things are hard to prove. There's not much evidence that shows society is biased one way or another.
/r/MensRights08/10/17 07:15 PM

And where is your actual evidence?
/r/MensRights08/10/17 07:07 PM

Yes, I agree. But the problem is when they feel that they shouldn't be shamed for being fat.
/r/MensRights08/10/17 07:01 PM
2

It's more than fat men, it's just the injustice in our society. Come up with a better argument than "keep complaining." I'm open to change my view if you can come up with a compelling argument.
/r/MensRights08/10/17 06:59 PM
2

We're not talking about the experiences of one person, we're talking about society as a whole. Just because you may not have experienced this yourself, the truth is that it's expected for fat men to be accepting of fat women, not the other way around. Think about how men are expected to go after women. Is that a broad societal generalization? No, it's just the way things are. Just like society expects fat men to accept fat women.
/r/MensRights08/10/17 06:50 PM
2

It's just real life. It's not based just off of this internet post; we've all (well, most of us) have seen this in our lives. I have personally seen a fat man being shamed for saying he wouldn't date fat women. The same thing can be said for pursuing sex. Men are seen as predators or creepy if they try to hit on a woman, even if they are being perfectly nice. Women on the other hand are encouraged to "pursue" their desires are not seen as creepy or weird for hitting on men.
/r/MensRights08/10/17 06:39 PM
10

No, we're just looking at the hypocrisy that exists in our society. Fat women aren't shamed if they refuse to date fat men, but fat men are shamed if they refuse to date fat women. I am happily married as a matter of fact

/r/MensRights11/09/17 12:08 AM

And of course it's the man's responsibility to ask. What if a man doesn't give consent? Still guilty of rape for some reason. This is really pissing me off.
/r/MensRights08/09/17 12:36 AM

And for some reason she feels it's unfair to use the POLICE instead of colleges. She knows when you use the police the "rapist" won't be automatically guilty. She's disguising it as being unsafe for women, when it's actually safer to go through the police.

Stuck in a car listening to some feminist author talk about this. She's saying boys (notice she never mentions girls can rape) have been fostered to not ask for consent. Also, campuses will be "much less safe" now that it'll be rolled back. She says there won't be justice when you have real professionals investigating. Essentially, she doesn't want there to be a fair trial and just wants men guilty as accused. Sorry for the rant, it's just really pissing me off. Edit: I guess it's NPR
