Most of my birthdays were shared with my cousin and ruined by my mother and grandmother. My grandmother wanted every event to be PERFECT and got upset when it wasn't. It never was. I haven't experienced this, but I'm sure it happens. I actually had a pretty wholesome experience. I bought a bubble sword that makes massive bubbles when I was at a state fair. I got bored of it after awhile, but a little boy was fascinated by it. So, I knelt down so that we were eye-to-eye, showed him how to use it, and gave it to him.
