How soon is too soon to start dating?I’m about to be in the same situation, I do t even want to date, as bad as this may sound I just want sex. I fell awful about it as I was always taught not to treat women as an object but I work out and can only hold of for so long. I’d say sometimes you have to do what you have to do. | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/08/26 04:23 PM
Just fed up of unrealistic demandsOP this is the absolute best advice here, keep your mouth shut and don’t budge on anything unless your lawyer advises you to. Do not pay for anything, don’t let her stay at the house if you can help it, do not help her in any way, shape, or form. You are a paycheck to her, she wants the married life without the commitment. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/08/26 12:39 AM
I don't know what to do1000% this as well OP | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/08/26 04:39 PM
I don't know what to doShe’s your ex, she had you and blew it. Move on, you’re not the one who cheated. All that’s going to happen is you’re going to push a potentially good partner away for someone who destroyed your marriage and trust in them. Leave your ex alone, she’s an ex for a reason. Stop taking her calls, stop helping her, stop giving her a shoulder to cry on before she ruins your life again. She’s a big girl and not your responsibility anymore. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/08/26 03:59 PM
Counseling ?You should try personal counseling first, it’ll help you going into marriage counseling. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/08/26 02:08 PM
Ex Upset That I am against her moving (and two kids) far away (which she can't in our decree). Currently have 50/50 custody. Suddenly (lol), I was served for her to have full custodyIf you got a summons to court and you don’t show up they automatically rule in her favor. You should not have sat on that. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/08/26 04:21 PM

She is unhappy, and I wish it brought me some peace. You’re a good human, not getting joy from bad things happening to other people even if you cared for them and they left you is a good thing. Finding joy in others misery is never a good thing. It’s OK to feel bad for your ex-wife however I would caution you not to get involved. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/08/26 12:20 PM

Bankruptcy with divorceWhat state do you live in if you don’t mind my asking?? And yes I agree taking a loan is not a good way to handle debt but it is orders of magnitude better than bankruptcy. A loan is months or years, bankruptcy is for life. And yes you can get in a lot of trouble for falsifying documents if they ask you if you’ve ever had a bankruptcy and 10 years down the road you say no. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/08/26 11:25 PM
Bankruptcy with divorceIt was 26k, you didn’t need it in the first place. You could have gotten a personal loan, you could have paid each bill off one by one while maintaining your household, you could have even let those bills not home related go to collections (this is assuming it’s consumer debt) and paid it later as you have money. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/08/26 11:11 PM
Bankruptcy with divorceDude you could have gotten out of that without filing for bankruptcy. Whoever talked you into that hated you. And why is her income on the bankruptcy and not her, your lawyer failed you as well. That’s bs. You got screwed over my dude. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/08/26 10:49 PM
Bankruptcy with divorceYou filed bankruptcy on 26k!??!??! Why?????? | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/08/26 10:21 PM
I don’t sleepI use my walk/run time to go through finance, personal hobby projects, customers I’m working on at work. I do NOT allow my marriage problems or personal problems to enter my thoughts and ruin my run. If I have the thoughts I acknowledge them and move on. This strategy has been key to keeping me neutral with my wife and made it easier to hold up in the situation. I am not saying I don’t think about the situation or the problems at all, but I designate specific time for that or I speak with her or… | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/08/26 04:07 PM
I don’t sleepHey man, I’m going through the exact same situation as you right this very instant. In the evenings I take a brisk 3-4 mile walk and it helps in several ways. It helps me sleep, I think while I’m walking or I jam some 90’s bangers and turn off my brain, it makes the blood flow so I feel something, and by the end of the walk I feel better every single time. I promise this will help, hope you find some peace brother. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/08/26 12:52 PM
Wife’s Ultimatum questionsI’m sorry you are going through this, don’t worry though as your life will move on. I hope you succeed in your future endeavors brother. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/08/26 03:38 AM
Wife’s Ultimatum questionsProblem is you shouldn’t be thinking about “will I or can I ever love again?”, you should be thinking about the task at hand. Which is figuring out how to divorce your current wife and make her gone from your life, then you can think about “love”. Brother you don’t have time for that right now, not one moment to spare. Stick to the task at hand and get the divorce out of the way and hell I hope you can get some spousal support off her if you did the time. Get that mess handled. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/08/26 03:14 AM
Wife’s Ultimatum questionsMan I thought it was just common sense. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/08/26 12:16 AM
Wife’s Ultimatum questionsYou separated in May and you are already madly in love?? Bud you need to slow down, your wife is a compounding problem and being madly in love with a woman you just started seeing 3 weeks ago is going to magnify by orders of magnitude your problems. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/08/26 12:01 AM
30-year marriage: Am I wrong for walking back agreements made in the dark after she tried to slip a deed transfer past me?No she tried to walk back on them first, the agreements are null and void. You need to do a forensic audit on the financial records. She is telling you right now that she is untrustworthy, you better believe what she is saying. Lawyer lawyer lawyer. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/08/26 01:41 PM
Should I just tell spouse she's going to be served? You think the wife deserves a heads up after the way she’s treated those kids?? Not a chance bud. Get your kids away from her and don’t tip her off, don’t give her a chance to get it together, she deserves no quarter. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/07/26 12:48 AM
I’m planning on divorcing my wifeThis post is very vague and women don’t just stop having sex for no reason. Have you looked in the mirror or are you just not getting what you want from the marriage and throwing your hands up?? I’m not judging or being shitty, I’m only asking questions, I’ve had to do the very same with my own life and marriage. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/07/26 10:17 PM
Men who feel the divorce came out of the blue, what kind of conversation do you wish your wife had with you and how far in advance do you wish she’d had it?I have no one to blame but myself, I’m a lot of things and a hard headed stubborn man is one of them but I also take responsibility for my actions. Most men are straightforward and want to be told what’s wrong even if it’s obvious to you. I’ll assume you’re still with him because he is a good man and if that’s the case don’t give up on him yet. However that being said, counseling is non negotiable, you guys need it. It will give you both tools to work on each other and yourselves. I was not a fa… | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/07/26 08:53 PM
Men who feel the divorce came out of the blue, what kind of conversation do you wish your wife had with you and how far in advance do you wish she’d had it?Have both of you gone to actual couples counseling, many of us men and myself included “feel” like this situation came out of left field. It did not in most cases, we were given warnings and asked for help or asked to correct behavior. It’s not out of the blue. My wife and I are having a rough time right now at this very moment, bad behavior and miscommunication on my part is the reason I’m here. I was given plenty warning. I have taken my wife’s used of “the D word” very seriously and are takin… | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/07/26 07:21 PM
