I think this post highlights another aspect this case has thrown up that is common. Prime example the established biases in the education systems against boys. Even though the overwhelming majority of teachers are women and the cases where the biases have been most obvious fit that. You will always find people arguing it’s not a women thing. It’s systemic. It’s belief. It’s anything other than women are doing this because they’re women. But posit the same view about men and you won’t get those a…

The big starter issue is we don’t see. You even find that men they know have been abused don’t view it as abuse because of the way around it is.

Funny thing I’ve seen people say police said that to them before - always in situations where they clearly don’t want to deal with it. Seems to be a go to maybe in some areas.

They use academic definitions, from subjects like sociology, of vulnerability and at risk. Those are primarily written through a female lens and have no concept of men being anything other than the aggressors. It’s standard academic biases against men because “blah blah, something about history, blah blah, all men have power”. Basically outdated self serving and biased.

Any question you put in that triggers the vulnerability checks will have this bias. It’s not like each new one people find is a new thing. This isn’t hard coded to favour women. It’s much more subtle, disingenuous and cyclical than that. They use academic descriptions and definitions for vulnerability and threats. Those are primarily from things like sociology academics. Who are mainly women and exclusively left leaning. They define everything through a female lens. Specifically vulnerability is…

Right up to the point where the man physically stops her abusing him, not assault just stops, then it’s “see men always abuse women. I knew she was the real victim” The thing I find weirdest is how mental and emotional abuse is apparently a male speciality. I’m guessing he people saying that don’t have daughters or have never expressed how vile school girls can be. Look at teenage girl suicides and the mental/emotional bullying of their peers is a large factor.

Yep totally agree. It’s suits many people to leave it as is. And let’s be honest. If we’re all as violent as some like to make out, people wouldn’t be taking a shit on regular men constantly. They’d be too scared to do it.

This just comes from the “not all men, but actually all men are to blame because you’re obviously endorsing it” school of thought. If you ever try to point out that you’ve never seen anyone doing anything like this you’ll get a standard response. Basically you’re either lying or you’re so misogynistic yourself that you don’t see an issue with it. It comes from a false logic to start with. It’s the duty of men to stop women feeling like men are all rapists and murderers by stopping all these men.…

This whole subject is a mess. Bearing in mind when men are asked directly have they been physically abused by their partner, in scenarios where it’s known they have been, they will still say no. Which has had to be addressed in the changes on DV questions. The common cause being men are so messed up mentally over this stuff that we don’t even recognise it as assault. FYI another wrinkle here, men when approached by police are massively more likely to be immediately assumed to be a threat and phy…

As a man I’d hate to be a GP these days. The chances of having a male colleague to lean on and talk to are pretty much zero. And if you don’t diagnose a woman with whatever her unqualified friends have told her she has, with the accompanying tests and referrals they insist she needs, you’re a misogynist. And everywhere has long waiting lists, which will be your fault and if they don’t get treatment it will be your fault. And when people turn up with 23 ailments it’s your fault. I mean you can’t …

The biggest issue I see now is people who want to film their entire life and when you get into online, misrepresenting other people’s behaviour. Even when we can clearly see they’re not doing what’s being claimed.

Systemic misandry causes thousands of deaths a year through suicide. The denial of the existence of it is a huge issue. The number of men who will scream at anyone saying it exists is frightening. Women would not be stabbing other women in the back on women wide issues. Too many men have been brainwashed into believing the whole mens lives are easy and where they’re not it’s mens’ own fault.

I’m pretty sure the person doing it is either a woman or “an ally” and that’s their reasoning. They wanted to stop people calling out how disgusting this person was.

That is your issue. Your feeds include this because you engage with it. I’ve heard plenty of misandry. Not heard this because I avoid feminazis. Likewise the misandry is really misogyny thing hasn’t caught on in mainstream, yet. It is part of the wider “everything is misogyny if you twist it enough” behaviour that is catching on but again isnt that common. It takes a special level of retarded bigotry to argue that stuff and not get told to STFU by lots of people.

On r / Ireland there was another story about a woman teacher being found to have had sex with a pupil. The number of people who kept saying “it’s not a crime” is a disgrace. But then the mods didn’t like someone being called out for doing it so says it all.

AI engines and search engines are programmed with safety structures including filters and recognition of “bigotry” and “oppressors vs victims”. The definitions they use are from western academic “study” which view and define things through a heavily female lens. As in man bad, woman good. Man oppressor, woman victim. Essentially, simplifying it, what it’s looking for is: If I return these answers, if I acknowledge the comment they’ve made, if I agree with what they’ve said, is this indulging in …

Both. It happened in a slightly different way with that poor woman who disappeared while on a walk with the dog doing a work call. Internet was full of women stating as fact the husband murdered her and attacking him.

/r/MensRights13/08/26 03:27 PM

I also forgot. Women believe what they want to believe. Especially when it comes to stories that make men look bad. Look at the situation where that woman murdered her children and the claim that the husband was having an affair has been made up by women online. That’s now being repeated as fact by so many women. That’s the same women that tell you they all know women who’ve been abused by men. Consider that.

Few things to consider on this. Yes they do generally know women who have bad stories about men. Definition of hurt by gets splayed out a fair bit in a lot of these. Men don’t even talk to other men about how we get abused by others. We certainly don’t tell anyone how bad our other halves can be. (We really need to learn to be more like women in that way. We need to stop talking about loneliness. Loneliness is an “easy fix” term that can be used to tell men “it’s all your own fault for not being like women”. There is no “loneliness epidemic”. There is a massive issue with men feeling isolated, disengaged, ignored. That’s the issue. We just exist without being valued in any way.

The patriarchy isn’t a thing. It’s a bogeyman that’s been set up to stop people, especially women, from taking accountability for their own actions. Women are the primary child raisers. Women dominate child care and education. The first 16 years of a child’s life is in environment run and controlled by women. But “the patriarchy” is why everything bad happens. No the society we have and the people who exist and run it are the problem.

Just to stop at the first sentence. WE don’t keep saying women are lonelier than men. People who want to dismiss and silence men’s experiences say that. The other thing is it’s a known fact men don’t engage with the same questions in the same way as women. Kings College London did a much deeper dive. They had a sample of men and women where they knew their background. They specifically found that where they asked do you feel lonely, women who should answer yes did answer yes. But men who should …

I always say this. Society loves a stereotype. And when the primary demographic that is pushing for, supported on and getting change doesn’t have any interest in changing “benevolent sexism” (why does that fucking phrase exist!) then it persists and becomes a louder norm. “Women are tough and independent”. Woman commits a crime. “A man made me do it”. It really doesn’t make sense. But worse no one cares that it doesn’t make sense.

This is a little spoken about double standard. If a woman as the defendant or the witness for the prosecution is challenged and got at and smeared in this way, there are plenty who will speak up, with media connections, which will get this called out. (To the point where people in Ireland are attacking the defence counsel in a current case for “smearing” the woman who brought the allegation. Because they questioned her honesty. Apparently a defence challenging the honesty of the alleged victim s…

Considering the requirements to get to trial you’re more likely to find false ones in the ones the police never take to a charge. But then they view it as no harm so those will never get investigated. That any get to a trial for perverting the course of justice is a surprise.

This is why some women and men don’t want men being acknowledged as victims of DV. It dilutes the ability to play the “she’s the real victim” card in these cases and demonise and criminalise a man as deflection.

False rape allegations is an area in itself that is pointless getting into. In the UK for example, any allegation that is not proceeded with to court will not be investigated for any falseness. And any allegation that goes to court and fails to get a guilty verdict will not automatically be investigated for falseness. What is required is something to come out in court that is essentially proving lying and was not known and discounted during the investigation and decision to charge. So really rar…

In most places those days are ignored anyway. Women live in a lot of echo chambers that tell them they have to fear for their lives everywhere. It’s part of some wanting to retain the position of #1 victim. They’re terrify other women to get their buy in. They are 25% of murder and assault victims. (And in case you’re planning to reply they don’t report it. There’s a known issue that unless someone else calls the police or they end up in hospital, where it gets recorded, men don’t report assaults so the figures don’t change). In reality men…

It’s telling about our societies that this is systemic misogyny. Yet when schools fail boys and display bias in grading and disciplinary acts, it’s not misandry. The problem sits in society as a whole - and nonsense like talking about “tHe pAtRiArChY’ is just deflection to hide that.

The problem is bad research and just asking opinions gets bundled up as “research proves” constantly. Then repeated as fact. In the UK you constantly hear “if this was happening to men far more would be done about it”. Where the slightest effort would discover that it is and actually far less is done about it. Everything now is just twisted into misogyny. The amount of people who state as fact that the reason most ADHD research originally was done on boys is misogyny. It’s not, it’s because ADHD…

Will always come back to the same thing. Society views women as vulnerable victims and men as oppressive and holding all the power. The extremist influencers situation is a genuine issue. The problem is everything is now being tied under this “Mano sphere” name and everything is then being branded misogynistic. Let’s be honest, most women have no issues with those stereotypes. It’s not a feminist thing it’s a self serving thing. What the extremists are doing is this nonsense if reframing everything as misogyny. Women and children first. Sexist against men? No. By ensuring those women survived its being sexist. It’s just “benevolent misogyny”. Because discriminating against men is now sexist against women. Literally everything is now misogyny and everything is worse for women.

That suspicion and atmosphere is what men say puts them off. Although you’ll find on Reddit it’s “because men don’t want to work for the money women get paid”. The two big issues on this are that the education system and the mental health system, are both heavily staffed and shaped by women. Mental health is stuck in a one size fits all rut. We berate men for not matching the way women behave. And only offer a service geared towards how women behave. I posted that link somewhere else yesterday or this morning about how teachers are biased. People seem shocked to discover it but it’s been there for years. The education system in the UK is massively feminised. The teaching “profession” does a lot of campaigning that boys are the problem. Self awareness is not a skill they have.

Which is annoying because courts regularly find it is discrimination in cases, eg where something impacts part time workers, because most but not all part time workers are women courts will rule it sexist. Even though it does apply evenly.

Are you saying society normalising these attitudes to the point where they’re commented constantly isn’t an issue?
/r/MensRights25/07/26 06:20 PM

Mainstream Reddit has massive issues with allowing this kind of attitude to go, including a lot of moderators.
/r/MensRights25/07/26 06:05 PM

True but then focussing on that is ignoring the much bigger issue that it’s reflecting how society views these things. The misandry it’s playing to us is society’s and that’s what we need to get stopped.
/r/MensRights25/07/26 06:04 PM

At no point have I said it’s harmless. My point is the agent is bringing back what’s the most common. The issue is society has made all this normal.

It’s not the AI search engine being sexist though. It’s the information available to it. This is important. It’s not a case of railing against the AI engine. It’s society that is the issue and that’s what should be pointed out.
/r/MensRights25/07/26 12:00 PM

People need to understand the difference between programmed sexism, which people assume this is the world the AI searches being sexist. The latter is the issue. Society views women as weak and vulnerable. It views men as aggressive and dangerous. Women report bad stuff, either to the authorities or just on places like Reddit many, many more times than men do. The figures for men reporting stuff is like 5-15% generally. So all the available info in the search is geared around that.

He’s an indirect victim of her rant is what I mean not it’s indirectly sexist. She wasn’t aiming it directly at him but by being male and present he was also a victim.

I’m sorry to hear about your dad. And you’re not irrationally upset. It’s very rational. Someone has made an offensively sexist comment in front of you that applies to you (even if indirectly) and another woman has come along and made up a load of excuses for it. That’s a perfectly rational situation to be upset in.

In the UK police guidelines had to be changed a few times and they still needed to reminded to not just arrest the men. I think it was some ridiculous figure like a third of men who called the police as a victim of DV were themselves arrested when the police turned up.

Found something similar with changing rooms at college some time back. The men’s were really basic with rubbish showers. One week we couldn’t use the men’s due to an issue and had to use the women’s. It was like being in a rich persons personal shower room. Just so different.

You can correct it about anything and if it finds something that confirms what you said it will apologise and rephrase its approach. The problem is it finds the most common and highest level info. So things like “worse for women” stuff will always come high on the returns.

Most likely because the laws in the country and/or countries reporting as specifically worded so rape as a criminal act can only be committed by a man. We’ve a long way to go before behaviour like this gets called what it is.

I think the big irony is that the argument about why men can’t be “trusted” to have spaces to ourselves is because apparently we only want no women so we can be misogynistic. And it’s not just where a sub is just for women. Some want to turn subs that are supposed to support everyone and turn them into women’s “safe spaces”. I’ve seen on Reddit of late a sub that’s meant to be to support all victims of abusive upbringing. And when a woman decided to throw in some “why are all men horrible to wom…

Society today likes to remove stereotypes when they don’t benefit and keep when they do. Then claim that’s the “pAtRiArChY” so the traditional view that only women can be vulnerable and only women can be victims is maintained and enforced. Leading to a situation where the phrase “that’s different” is constantly used whenever the same thing happens and is indulged. It’s like the myth that women don’t sexually assault men because men could stop it if they didn’t like it. Apparently we’re all fine …

Anything that turns health and well being into a contest, especially a biased and rigged contest, will always be unhealthy. I blame the need for people to feel themselves viewed as the most vulnerable and the only victims. Because it’s perceived to be the only way to get good treatment. And manipulated by some as they want to have all the treatment. We can do a lot better than this.

Oh we do far more than that. If you’re a man with mental health issues the first thought everyone has is are you a risk. Followed by people quoting fake “research” (which at best is sample biased opinion), that men with mental health issues are a danger to society. Usually by the same people who proudly state that the reason men have mental health issues is because men don’t speak up. Nope it’s because of cunts like them who make damn sure men keep issues to ourselves by demonising.

Lost me at “And we have to stop demeaning the feminine and women as a way of “motivating” boys” because they called them a pussy. Now had she said we need to stop the name calling stuff yep I’m there. But stop trying to twist every last fucking thing into “misogyny”. And the kind of person who does that and makes issues like young men being ground down into an issue of how women are treated is clearly two things. One massively biased. UK and Ireland education systems are totally anti boys, I feel sorry for youngsters here these days. Society as a whole is much more alert to things not being good for women and allows generalisations and misandry in the media. And politicians in power have been virtue signalling for ages. It’s just a word play to get away with saying all men in a different way. And then if you challenge it twist it into an attack on you. The other thing is it’s always used about rape. Lots of countries word rape legally so it can only be committed by a man. So it’s not the gotcha people seem to think.

Sexual harassment as in comments made in front of and directly to me. Sitting in an office where they’re having completely inappropriate sex discussions in the middle of the office. Basically everything that gets rightly called out and goes to tribunals when an office of men do stuff that makes women colleagues feel uncomfortable.
/r/MensRights20/07/26 04:45 PM

A lot of the time it’s just formalising how society functions anyway. Woman = vulnerable. Man = oppressor. In the UK and Ireland there are constant issues that it doesn’t matter how gender neutral the law is, the implementation isn’t.

Don’t agree with the concept that it’s the biggest source of envy. Male circumcising at birth is abusive behaviour in many ways. And I agree that the use of it as just a standard practice instead of only when there is a genuine health risk to the infant boy, is a disgrace and a sign of bigotry. But it’s part of the wider picture. Not the whole picture on its own. There’s so much more, eg the dismissal of boys right to intimate body privacy that so many countries indulge in. Surveys have found the overwhelming majority of people equate patriarchy with men. So when someone says the patriarchy they are getting people to think men generally. And that’s what they want them to think. Because that way they can get people to excuse every bit of bigotry they indulge in.

There are times when this seems like the ultimate goal of UK and Ireland education systems. Being able to teach hating men. They already teach boys at a young age that their maleness is problematic and causes misogyny.

This myth has been busted so many times. - The “evidence” that when men want custody they get it is based off a small sample of completed process cases. Most men have to stop long before that point as they simply can’t keep going financially to get it. The group who were used as proof were invariably wealthy enough to push for and manage it. - Getting custody and getting access to the children are not the same thing and often even with a court order it can be made difficult for him to get access…

I’d have thought the simplest answer is don’t sign. I mean theyre already having meltdowns on social media because men have decided they don’t need to date or marry. Just don’t sign the prenup and tell her to do one. Problem solved. Honestly if pay genuinely feel you can’t trust someone don’t fucking marry them. Men really need to be learning that.

Yeah I’ve said this so many times. If this invisible all powerful bogeyman is real how are you allowed to even talk about it negatively. Also if the patriarchy, as they like to use it, as in all men are party to it, is real, then the only reason women have anything at all is because men allow them to have it. Makes no sense doesn’t it.

I think a major part of the problem is anything antisocial gets some muppet saying “they’re probably autistic”. It does surprise me how much emotional, verbal, mental, controlling, manipulative, coercive abuse gets spoken about as a typical man thing. Ask any woman who was bullied by other girls at school to describe the techniques. Because they’re less physical girls who want to be abusive become very adept at mental and emotional abuse. Ask any adult who was abused as a child by a woman what that looks like and how much mental/emotional abuse is involved.

I don’t personally care about elitist men’s clubs. But the attacking of things like men’s sheds - which happened in the UK is actually just coercive and manipulative abuse. Standard therapy is very women centric. Men engage with therapy in a totally different way. We bond through shared activity and open up as part of it. I actually quite like that I’ve seen women on subs like ask men, who have said they’re on there because they don’t like or fell foul of the women only subs and prefer our spaces. There should be ones that are men only and same for women only. It shouldn’t be the default. And wouldn’t be as needed as it is if some people could just STFU and log on by any opinion they don’t agree with. That figure of 40 women includes murder and manslaughter. If you research the same figure for men it’s over 200. Seems like women are a lot safer than men in Ireland. Social media and Politicians response. 🤷‍♂️ FYI work place deaths for past 4 years in Ireland, over 140 men have died and 14 women. Was going to say the same thing. The examining boards in both Ireland and the UK both reported that during COVID, when anonymised marking was removed and teachers were grading work knowing who the pupils were, girls grades increased and boys grades decreased, for the same standard against each other and against previous and subsequent years when anonymised marking was in place. But all you hear out of the teachers and the unions is that all the boys are misogynists and no evidence claims that th…

Most boys in the UK will not experience a male teacher before the age of 11. A third are guaranteed not to. The number isn’t that high for experiencing a male teacher in high school. I’m more worried about why do we believe we can have a single school strategy, based on what works best for stereotypical girls and punish boys who don’t conform to it. I posted about this on another topic recently but it’s relevant here. In the UK there was a huge issue that kicked off about strip searches by the police of school children, in/around school facilities, often involving the school. It became a big media issue as a girl was subjected to this in a really unpleasant way. However, this has been going on for years and 95% of the pupils subjected to this are boys and always have been. No one kicked off about it. It took a specific girl for anyone to be…

Just for clarity the issue isn’t women though. The issue is society still has the stereotypes and in particular the ones that are benevolent stereotypes for women and the ones that are malignant stereotypes for men. Women are soft and vulnerable so they can be and are victims. Men are rough and aggressive and threatening so men are abusers. So we need to control men and not women. Mix of things. One, puritan moralists. Two, porn replaces women and women and allies perceive it to be a threat. Three, porn really and through “perception” is viewed as being massively misogynistic. Schools apply separate rules around the world. Look at the UK exclusions (expulsions) rates for boys and girls. Especially when both have educational special needs. And also look at the strip search controversy where boys were being strip searched by police in schools and no one gave a shit. The media only got interested when they found a girl’s story to run with and never even brought up that 95% of these strip searches were on boys.

This is always the most correct and frustrating answer to so much of this. Why do you want to be with someone if they’re an obnoxious bigot? Why do you want to be in that world? Education in quite a few countries has failed completely with boys. The problem you have is how people react to asking if the educators are the problem. We took a bias and reversed it. No we don’t. We live in a selective society that chooses to keep vestiges of a patriarchy that suit their own agenda. And remove the ones that don’t. Essentially the term now is kept in common language as a way to avoid some people taking accountability for their own actions. It’s also not modern.
