I mean i cant really get others on here to vouch for me can i? Ive also complimented her a few times in my posts/comment replies, so its not like im not trying to be fair and balanced... As i mentioned in my post, its others who are shocked she would leave, its her family (who ive known very well for almost 10 years) who think shes crazy. I mean i dont know what else you want from me on this, its not like ive said im a greek god, hung like a horse, or a model in appearance. Being funny, fit, hon…

I guess i kind of see where you're coming from. Lets be honest nobody is perfect and ive self reflected on things i can improve on going forward. When i said 'pure good man', i mean im a family man, will do what it takes to provide the best life for the family, would never cheat, love her despite her flaws, genuine good/happy person, strong values, great father, etc. I mean i dont think thats why she left, especially given everything else ive said in my post. But if thats why she left, then id s…

Very true. The only person who would tell her like it is was her sister. But through all this my ex would never speak to her sister about it because she didnt want to be told what she didnt want to hear lol. Sick.

Interesting (and sad) that the story is common. Glad things broke off at a better point for you.

>Read up on narcissism and codependency Hah. Some quick googling and the first few paragraphs describe her exactly. Nice call. I wonder if her therapist has identified and told her this.... likely not :) > if there is anything in your soul that is making you attracted to staying with people who treat you so bad for so long! I think for me it was our son on the way that kept me working hard to keep things together, in hopes she would come around and gain some perspective. Sadly this did not happe…

Definitely crazy. In a few years she went from awesome to miserable. Or she was always miserable and just hid it. I definitely feel for my son the most. But i will be there 150% for him throughout. I wish i could have him 100% of the time but i doubt that will ever happen. Thankfully, she IS a good mom for the most part... i just hope that doesnt change when she gets old and bitter.

Totally agreed. So much clarity. What used to be confusing is so plain as day now. I do think i can work towards being a better version of myself now. I am much happier.

It really boggles the mind how much attention/validation they require in order to be happy. Seems impossible for them just to be content. Id hate to be trapped in a never ending cycle of needing more and more. So glad im not female. I really like being alone as well. Even the simplest things/decisions no longer require any thought beyond "i want to do X, so i am going to do X".

Definitely a bullet dodged, although i would have preferred to dodge it earlier lol

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
