Anyone else just have that empty/DGAF feeling that won't go away after horrible Divorce? That’s awesome man, really happy to hear you got your mind/self on the right track! Sounds like it’s all going In the right direction! | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/12/21 03:08 PM
Anyone else just have that empty/DGAF feeling that won't go away after horrible Divorce?Good attitude to have my guy. Happy for you and I hope you enjoy every waking minute of what the future holds. Thanks for the words. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/12/21 06:21 PM
Anyone else just have that empty/DGAF feeling that won't go away after horrible Divorce?I agree with you 100% on not letting her have that control. She has no control over me and once everything was finalized and the house was signed for and all was done, I turned off the quiet, don't rock the boat, keep my mouth shut when I want to just lay into her attitude. I unleashed a ton of shit on her about all the lies and manipulation she was doing. Letting her know I knew everything she was doing. It felt great! The guy she was currently dating, well his family actually contacted me and … | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/12/21 06:20 PM
Anyone else just have that empty/DGAF feeling that won't go away after horrible Divorce?Good luck man. Can get some good feedback here from others going through it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/12/21 06:16 PM
Anyone else just have that empty/DGAF feeling that won't go away after horrible Divorce? Thanks for the reply. I always try to remind myself that it isn't that bad, someone else has it worse, way worse, other people are going through way worse shit so I need to focus on what I have going good. Then I have days where I just end up in this whole and everything just sucks. Takes me a day or two to crawl out. The relationship may end. It won't be pretty I'm sure and that's what I don't ever want to go through again. So if and when this does end, I'm out of the game for a very long time. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/12/21 06:16 PM
Anyone else just have that empty/DGAF feeling that won't go away after horrible Divorce?Been there man. Sorry to hear you're going through it. It's dark and it's dreary. I always pictured myself going down this dark road in the middle of the night only some moonlight for light and there being no end to the road. Just a moonlight black and white world. I think about that a lot. Still do but I can say my mood and my attitude has gotten way better than it was in the beginning. It'll take time but someday you can hopefully realize you're better off this way. Good luck. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/12/21 06:14 PM
Anyone else just have that empty/DGAF feeling that won't go away after horrible Divorce?Yeah, I know I'm not the only one going through this. The anonymity of reddit helps me to just say it and get it out. I say this shit in person and they'll either think I'm crazy or brush it off. This way I could type it, get it out of my system and if no one replied, oh well. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/12/21 01:57 PM
Anyone else just have that empty/DGAF feeling that won't go away after horrible Divorce?I am very happy I Have them with me. I get sad when the day comes where they have to go back to their mom or when it's her weekend and I won't see them for 5 straight days. The one constant in all this was making sure I would never lose them. I went broke but I can recover from that. I still get to see my boys. I'm sorry your situation turned out like it did. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/12/21 01:55 PM
Anyone else just have that empty/DGAF feeling that won't go away after horrible Divorce? When I say that I am quick to jump at little things I don't mean it in a way that I'm violent or yelling or screaming. I am simply ready to call it quits. I made it perfectly clear to the woman I am dating what my expectations were in a relationship and that I will never put myself in a position to have anyone take from me or take advantage of me etc... I'd rather just be alone. I have been 100% up front and honest with her about what has happened to me and since being with me, she has seen firs… | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/12/21 01:53 PM
Anyone else just have that empty/DGAF feeling that won't go away after horrible Divorce?Probably a good plan. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/12/21 01:44 PM
Anyone else just have that empty/DGAF feeling that won't go away after horrible Divorce? The day I served her papers, she snuck the guy she was currently sleeping with into my house and slept with him in our bed (I had already moved to the basement to sleep prior to serving her) so that night she brought him in and got him out before I woke up. I only figured it out the next night when she went to do it again as I was still awake and caught her. Edit: She was also later arrested and removed from my house for disorderly conduct as she was drunk and throwing shit in an attempt to get … | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/12/21 01:44 PM
Anyone else just have that empty/DGAF feeling that won't go away after horrible Divorce?Great perspective on things. Thanks for taking the time to say it. Definitely will look into trying that method and see how it works for me. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/12/21 09:57 PM
Anyone else just have that empty/DGAF feeling that won't go away after horrible Divorce?I was the one who filed because she is an awful person. My post history tells the story if you care to look it up. Your take on life sounds fantastic. I will be looking into this. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/12/21 09:55 PM
Anyone else just have that empty/DGAF feeling that won't go away after horrible Divorce?Thankfully I made out in the custody department. I was the one who filed on her. She is an awful human being and what she did when I served her the papers was even worse. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/12/21 09:54 PM
Anyone else just have that empty/DGAF feeling that won't go away after horrible Divorce? The reason it was easy 50/50 is because she wouldn't want the kids full time. She has too much partying to do and all the other bullshit. There was never a fear in me that I'd get screwed in that. Also, she never wanted the house, just the payout from it, which she got. I have our text thread saved from December of 2018 and I continue to back it up from time to time so I'm good there. She doesn't affect me now with anything new, it's just anger from the past and I know her so well that I will al… | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/12/21 09:54 PM
Anyone else just have that empty/DGAF feeling that won't go away after horrible Divorce? Not at all what I meant and didn't intend for it to come across that way. Being single is great. I think in my head I still have that "oh I should be with someone" "I should have a relationship" because those are put out into society as the norm. I really do believe that I am one of the ones that are not meant to be married...or with someone. And yes, it is ok. Good luck with everything in your future. Sounds like you're on the right track! | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/12/21 09:50 PM
The justice system is so one sided against men in a divorceMan, you said a piece. Totally right. I got a vasectomy while I was still married to her because I knew shit was going south. No way I wanted knock up her or anyone else. Your GF sounds like a lot of people that try to offer advice. Oh just tell your lawyer do this or that. Yeah ok. You paying the bills? I’ve already spent a STUPID amount on legal fees and I’m still here in this situation. Your lawyer is crap if they don’t do “this” again..ok. I’ve been here every step of the way and the SYSTEM … | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/03/21 04:52 PM
The justice system is so one sided against men in a divorceExactly right. Same thing I’ve learned, it’s ridiculous. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/03/21 11:47 AM
The justice system is so one sided against men in a divorceFuck man, I’m sorry. She did the same shit to me on the abuse! Thankfully my lawyer was able to determine it was bullshit and the charges were dismissed! I’ve spent over $30K in legal fees myself and it just keeps adding up. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/03/21 01:15 AM
The justice system is so one sided against men in a divorceToo late in the game, unfortunately. Thanks for the suggestion though. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/03/21 12:42 AM
The justice system is so one sided against men in a divorceI do. He did what he could. Legit at the mercy of the system. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/03/21 12:41 AM
The justice system is so one sided against men in a divorceYeah man, while I get the desire, I hope you don’t. Don’t give her the satisfaction of people missing you because of shit like that. I say this because I often think of taking just myself out so my kids can have a fat insurance settlement. I can’t. They need me. Someone needs you too. Don’t let her win that shit. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/03/21 12:41 AM
The justice system is so one sided against men in a divorceNo, that’a been established. She can’t get my compensation directly but it’s factored into my income so it’s indirect. Thanks for the info though. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/03/21 12:38 AM
The justice system is so one sided against men in a divorceThanks man. It’s frustrating. I got days that are very very dark. It’s a struggle knowing there’s not a damn thing I can do to change it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/03/21 11:22 PM
The justice system is so one sided against men in a divorceThanks man. I am getting CRDP. While she doesn’t get any direct payment from that, it’s factored into my income and she indirectly gets it as it’s factored into the child support/alimony. Not sure there’s any other way around that, at least I haven’t been told. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/03/21 11:07 PM
How to be ok with seeing your kids lessAs I came here to vent and complain about the justice system, I saw your post first thing and it made we want to comment. Once I do and if you see my rant, just ignore it. I'm angry. This subject though you bring up is a tough one. I only get to see my boys (4 and 11) 50% of the time as well and it sucks, and I too initiated the divorce because their mom was a lying cheating piece of garbage, I have made peace with it as best I can. I keep busy and golf or meet up with friends somewhere. I'm nev… | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/03/21 10:00 PM
