"Roaches check out, they dont check in" should be a motto for all divorced men.

She showed you who she really is after marriage. Believe her and let her lose. You are actually winning by getting this trash out of her life. PS. I thought muslim women these days were all 100% traditional. I guess I was wrong.

But would you get an actual relationship with those women on sugar daddy sites or are they just after money?

Never said it was bad. The question, is OP ready for a healthy relationship? Rebounds are not meant to be a permanent long-term relationships. If this doesnt work in the long-term, op will have his marriage to grief on top of this. That will probably set back any healing he'd made up to that point. Maybe that wont be so bad or maybe it will. Rebounds generally suppose to help but...🤷‍♂️

Definitely a complex situation. Hopefully, it all works out for you in the end.

OP, I have a feeling you are still in denial stage of your grief. Be cautious. 6-7 weeks is nothing to grief your marriage, unless of course you yourself were checked out of it long time ago.

OP didnt have to put up with that. Could've just left.

Hey, I get it. It's a rebound relationship, isnt it? I dont have much to say. Try to clear your head. What is it you want in life and do you have ideas on how to get there? Maybe therapy, and quick, before you get stuck and loose this one? She may be a keeper but if she is looking for long-term relationship and you are just in a rebound, it wont last. In any case, my previous message probably has the best advice I can offer. Good luck!

OP, you are not ready, plain and simple but you have an opportunity for a new life. If you dont see any red flags just take it slow. One thing though, this woman is complimenting you very early in the relationship. She doesnt know you very well, yet she is doing it. Find out as much as you possibly can about her past. Try to ignore her looks, and see what is she really like as a person. You dont state your ages, but a beautiful woman with good personality and still single? Remember, you have 2 h…

Affair didnt help. And it is bs that "she drove him to it". It was his decision for whatever reason. Maybe his wife is in her hysterical bonding phase. It's one giant mess. I think they are done. Op, it will be hard but you need to come to a solid decision and act on it. It will be hard but you need a direction. Stomping in one spot, for who knows how long, will not help you or your family. Just my 2 dollars because 2 cents doesnt buy anything today.

I dont think it is in any way helpful to frame it like that.

Is it possible there is an affair going on? If so, just let her go. She probably decided that the relationship no longer works for her a long time ago. Im sorry you are going through this. We should never fully trust modern women. If you are amicable and your only daughter is 25 that makes things a lot easier on you. Grieve the relationship for as long as you need then go and get your new life and live it the way you want to. If you made mistakes in this relationship, dont repeat them. If you ar…

For sure! I very much still feel the same but it just doesnt weight on me as much as it used to in the first year. And a good thing, actually, is that it wasnt anything special and her behaviour really wore me down and out over the years. She is very far from being a prized wife. If it wasnt for our child, I'd leave her long time ago, most likely, but I stuck around for longer than I should have. Another mistake I made is to tell her I wanted a divorce. I caught myself thinking that in few years…

Over 2 years since the d-day. Over a year of hard separation. I feel much better. If not for our child, I'd be mostly happy. Still not fully ready for a new relationship or even contact with women. Still have an actual divorce to go through. Not looking forward to it. Give it some more time. 9 months is not that long in the grand scheme of things. Do work on yourself. Try to keep yourself occupied.

I had one "talk" session about the situation and then another day an actual EMDR therapy session. Easy-peezy.

Well, if you were able to not feel resentment towards your wife thats good. After mine cheated I can barely look at her. If I was to stay with her in the same house, it would be similar to living in a prison cell with another inmate and walk on eggshells to not set that person off. We havent lived or seen much of each other for over a year. My child is not taking this well, but is getting used to mom and dad not being together. I dont want to put my child through the stress of living with 2 peop…

You werent ready, were you? And then when you saw her in real life you didnt feel attracted to her.

I was experiencing similar things just not as intense as you describe. Just after one EMDR session I felt much needed relief. Try it, perhaps, it will work for you as well.

After they leave us for someone else, I dont think it's a genuine desire to return, when they show interest to; more like no better options.

The same happened with me, just took her 3 months. I couldnt believe how easily she discarded me under the pre-text "I thought it would be easier to get through a divorce". We are separated now. She actually wants to get back together but I just cant. I dont trust her with all the lies she put me through and she triggers my flight or fight response.

She is infantile, lacks integrity, and is feelings-based, with little logic, because logic needs to be taught at a young age for girls. Did I get the jist of your thoughts?

Yup, she sounds infantile! Who cares about the looks when the core personality is rotten.

I dont recommend being friends with her. She tossed you aside. She cheated. She wants a fall back plan she can come back to if life doesnt pan out for her the way she envisions it. Do not be her option.

OP, your wife makes good money, so you can ask for spousal support payments. Debts are usually shared 50/50, so she has to cover half of it. You are ok. The no-children situation is effy but if you find a right woman, she will support you in getting artificial procedure done. You are actually in an ok situation overall. Chin up!

Im in a club I dont want to be. Im trying my best to stay afloat. After 2 years it doesnt hurt as much. Im trying not to dip by sticking to a routine. Not quite all healthy, no gym, no hobies, but Im slowly recovering and grieving the relationship.

In a similar boat. I do want a woman, somebody to talk to, cuddle, just not all the crap that comes with it. Im just 2 years your senior and I dont think I will have energy for another child with someone else, although I want it. I will probably remain single for a while and re-assess in 1-2 years.

You got off easy. 10.5 years for me. She had a depression after child birth plus bs talking to other men. I could barely take it. Wanted to pull the plug around 6 year mark. Stuck it out for the kid. Told her about the divorce end of 2023 but told her what bothered me the most so maybe she'd fix it. Wasnt a manipulation on my end; I was just at my wits end. Instead of fixing things, cunt gets involved with someone behind my back 4 month after. 2 months after that I recant and propose to stay tog…

Your huge mistake is to tell her you wanted a divorce. In cases, where a spouse is "like that" we should get our ducks in order, tell them and serve them papers right then and there, and then leave to go somewhere pre-arranged, where you will be staying. She left then you took her back, after she did "girl gone wild"? That's another mistake, as if the relationship wasnt't crumbling already. I'm a bit older than you and in a bad situation myself. Cry if you need but make that anger and resentment…

There are like 5% of men that are able to move past it. Another 5% stay and suffer in silence. The rest 90% just leave. I assume this is accurate statistics. I'm one of the 90% - I don't trust her and feel a sense of danger around her. This is just my amygdala letting me know to stay the hell far away from her. I can't imagine going against it now and trying to reconcile. I would just be looking at a miserable existance, not able to be affectionate with her, and always on guard. I dont want this…
