How long was her first relationship?I’m 100% on your side however I think it’s less of she’s moved on faster and more of she’s left the situation WAY before she mentioned it so it looks like she moved on but she was over it well before she brought it to your attention. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/07/22 09:05 PM
Why do they? The most honest answer I got was that it was just easier to keep the name. I think the length of marriage may contribute to it as well | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/03/22 01:04 AM
Don’t know how to leave a relationship that we both cheat it’s hard now that I have child and its been few years known I can’t let got of the fact that we both cheat don’t know how to let go cus of my baby girlINFO: I'm not understanding the issue you're having at hand. You both cheated but a child is involved and you want to get out. There's so many questions for this. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/03/22 03:40 AM
I’m (29M) considering divorcing my wife (28F) due to her failure to contribute anything to our marriage financially. Yes, I can support her and I make a pretty good living. My problem is that I should not need to support her at the level that I am, due to the context of our marriage currently. That doesn't work for everyone. OP maybe didn't want a marriage where he is the sole provider when the wife CAN work. He doesn't want her money, he wants her to put in effort. In his mind, this is not what he signed up for. If you don't understand it because you have a different opinion fine but don't invalidate how he feels because it's different from yours. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/02/22 12:57 AM
New car divorceThis is very heart breaking to hear. When she said she couldn't afford the payments, did the judge have her provide evidence she couldn't? I can't believe it's that easy to get off of non payment. Also, the judge didn't comment on her not refinancing (never married so no experience with courts)? Did you know the car was going to be bought in your name (I assume for credit purposes if so) or did she buy it without your knowledge? I'm sorry this happened to you. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/01/22 03:24 PM
Looking to Hear Stores / Asking for AdviceI'm getting the notion that a prenup is not the way to go so I'll rethink that. I'm a worst case scenario type of person so I never understood the idea of marriage with the way society is set up as there is nothing in it for the man | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/12/21 03:21 PM
Looking to Hear Stores / Asking for AdviceThis gives so much perspective and I understand a little more how things like this can happen. Thank you for your time in writing this, I wish there was a way to highlight this so more people like myself can see this (I'm rather new to Reddit so if there is, let me know). I am proud of your accomplishments knowing where you started. I hope all goes well with your divorce kind sir! | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/12/21 04:16 AM
Looking to Hear Stores / Asking for AdviceThis isn't necessarily for me. I'm asking for personal stories that I can share with others who aren't on Reddit that are leaning more towards getting ready. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/12/21 11:40 PM
Looking to Hear Stores / Asking for AdviceThank you for this. This shows me what men should look out for if they're looking to get married. I currently have a married acquaintance that has recently gotten a much better job and wants his wife to stop working so she can stay home with the kids and take care of the house. Little does he know, at this point she's with him because she feels she invested in him (holding it down while he went to school) so now she wants to cash out by using his income to buy a new house and go on vacations the… | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/12/21 09:37 PM
Looking to Hear Stores / Asking for AdviceHaha I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. I 100% wholeheartedly agree with you on this. Unfortunately, like I said, not many others (that haven't been married at all) don't think like us. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/12/21 09:14 PM
Looking to Hear Stores / Asking for AdviceI really appreciate the time you took to write this. I never thought about the family angle and that makes a lot of sense and is probably one of the best pieces of advice I could receive. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/12/21 08:28 PM
Stbxw needs my bank statements to buy a houseThis is interesting for me because we can't use child support/alimony if there's no divorce decree. I'd do what someone else recommended and redact your bank statements and only show them what they need. Hope this helped!! | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/12/21 03:17 AM
Stbxw needs my bank statements to buy a houseAs an underwriter, I've come across many loans for divorced individuals. Different lenders have different guidelines so I'll only speak on the ones I follow: the only time we require a spouse's bank statement is to see if the mortgage is current and the spouse was the only one on the mortgage (we can't use credit reports as documentation and the obligor has to make the payments) child support and alimony are documented through court orders; we NEVER ask for bank statements for these. And yes, I … | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/12/21 02:09 AM
