Nobody should be called a misogynist for wanting a healthy partner. That is basic, hardwired biology.

I think it’s close to the case honestly. I don’t use tik too much because it gets annoying, but it’s full of obese women or women that just let themselves go because they “hate men,” and then get angry and shout misogyny when men don’t find them attractive. It’s inherent, basic biology that men and women alike are attracted to those that can reproduce. It’s nothing new.

I think morbidly obese women should not be idealized because they are unhealthy. Body positivity should include caring for your body physically. There’s nothing empowering about letting yourself go. If you read the EMU study it is literally started by feminist. I don’t want to argue because you cannot accept facts when they are presented so good luck and goodbye!

Try this link, there are a ton of studies if you just do a quick search! Most of them are even published by feminist organizations. It is believed by feminists that how women feel about their bodies relates to internalized misogyny. (I disagree, personally.) In response, feminist women formed the “body positivity” movement. It’s said to work against “intersectionality” which is described as oppression toward women. I think it’s all BS, but I think that of much feminist rhetoric. Anyhow, I implor…

I am more so seeing it from the angle of the feminist body positivity movement being an issue (ie, promoting obesity) and also directly highlighting that men are held to a higher standard. Being held to a higher standard will serve them well in the long run I suppose

Thank you! Yes I tested it to double check.

As a female antifeminist, this is embarrassing. Letting yourself go is not empowering.

I tested the link again and it does work, but feel free to google EMU Body Positivity and feminist movement. There are a lot of reputable reports about it. I did explain it in my own words, and you asked for proof so I provided a valid source.

I think in part it also helps brands pander to the fems. Brands don’t give a fuck about you, but it’s easy to pander to folks that are more emotional than objective

If you actually want to learn, here is a legit study about it from EMU! The body positivity movement is directly connected to the feminist movement. I didn’t say you shouldn’t be here, I think it’s great if you’re trying to learn, but it seems you’re just here to be kind of rude!

Mmmm I think it goes both ways. I think women are just more overbearing about their obesity being ✨sexy✨ and ✨healthy✨ At least with men, if you’re obese, you’re not encouraged

Ma’am you are on the antifeminists subreddit, I don’t know what discourse you are expecting LOL. I think it’s sad and bad for young ladies that feminists have made such a turn that we are idealizing obese women. If you disagree with the sentiments this may just not be the right sub for ya. But that’s actually a good point you just made - feminism has spiraled and drastically changed for the worst over time, to the point where we celebrate morbid obesity… feminists actually got angry with Lizzo w…

Totally, I’m a women and I’m so irritated by the idea that we have to have unhealthily obese models to be inclusive. Horrible thing to look up to. That’s part of my reasoning behind the post but didn’t know how to word it in the title. Now, the other extreme of anorexia and eating disorders is awful - but why can’t we just have healthy models?

Hahahaha I know it feels obvious but if they want to be educated maybe worth the discourse? But doesn’t appear to be the case with this one lol.

It is highlighting a societal difference between men and women. As a woman, it’s embarrassing to hear feminists whine about representation. Like, you’re unhealthily obese, so you need to see an obese model to feel validated, and so on and so forth. Men are typically just… shopping. It’s highlighting the insecurity and entitlement of feminism, and reinforcing that men don’t have similar insecurities.

Yes, exactly it is a picture advertising underwear! Just highlighting the difference between male and female representation, which is applicable to the sub.

The feminist body positivity movement - they seem to care very deeply that all types of women are represented, comparatively every man has a six pack and perfect physique.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
