Not trying to discount your frustration, but I feel like no matter what a pastor does, he will always have someone who will say he isn’t doing things the right way.

I looked at the preview and I liked the discussion and themes, but it doesn’t really incorporate enough scripture passages for my liking.

my goal definitely isn’t to teach them how women get seduced. You sound like secular red pill. I don’t even know what you mean by “genius”

I find a lot of stuff to be the generic Christian messages, which is not bad, it’s just I want to talk about what it means to be a man of God (because frankly, I don’t see anyone learning it elsewhere). And yeah I agree with you the the gospels and Pauls letters should be focused on. So to answer your question, yeah I’m looking for a bible study that focuses more about what it means to be a man of God. (And that’s why I asked this sub 😂)

I’m inclined to say that you should text her back. Like the other guy said, texting her back is not a commitment. Are you neglecting the fact that she could have changed? God can do work in everyone’s lives. God restores. Maybe she hasn’t changed, but you don’t know right now. Find out.

I would seek clarity about all these rules even if they’re being ridiculous.

if there's a girl attending the church (not on staff) I'd need to talk to the church heads before asking her on a date or I'd get in big trouble. What do they mean by “big trouble”?

Ehh I wouldn’t think too much about the texting thing. If a girl is interested in you, then she’s interested in you and she’s interested in you for who you are. I don’t think the way a guy writes one text (as long as you’re not being weird) is gonna influence his chances with getting a date. I’ve looked back at situations where things didn’t work out with a girl and I tried to see what I could have done differently. You can hold your character and values, and there are many different ways to app…

Where did you meet her? Where did you approach her? Maybe she didn’t like the age gap? Regardless of what’s going through her head, she’s ghosting you which is a sign of immaturity. Don’t text her again unless she initiates. I would still go to play pool. When you go on dates, it’s good to do stuff that you would have done anyway. Who knows: maybe you’ll see an old buddy? Maybe you’ll meet someone else? Maybe you’ll meet some new people and make some new friends?

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Aww dude, I’m sorry about that. God still has a plan for you though. I know it’s rough, but don’t lose faith. https://youtu.be/RH7rPHF1cpg

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
