Its pretty easy to become an intermediate lifter and get a physique that's better than the general population so it's not asking for much. You can at least have definition in your face.

The masculine ideal is getting your physique through your job/something productive. This is not to say feminine is bad, per se, I go to the gym myself. But it isn't masculine. The gym is the male gaze turned inward, with the focus on body parts and vigorous preening.

Several authors have noted the connection between occupation and necrophilia.6. 11.20.46 Some necrophiles stated that their preexisting sexual attraction caused them to choose jobs that would allow them to be close to corpses. The frequency of occupational access to corpses among the necrophiles (57.170, N = 35) suggests that careful screening and supervision of employees should be done in cemeteries, morgues, funeral homes, and pathology departments. Does this say they ban men from morgues?

Looks like this paper says that they failed to find a difference in EEG tests and were able to get no difference in empathy between the genders with a simple priming question that "both men and women are good at empathy". So it's ironically sexism that causes it. I mean, looking at the figures I don't know if I'd agree that theres a significant difference either.

I have an SUV. There are cars... that are low to the ground? Are you stupid? Growing up in a body shop and my family also owning other body shops means that I knew a lot of people that change their oil can you say the same thing? No? Probably not. Um yeah. It's literally the one job that has a low ROI, everything else do it yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/24 04:15 PM
5

Not sure what you're trying to say here, a lot of psych science fails to replicate. It's why its funny to me when people pick and choose when to present it for political reasons. Like if conservatives are smarter, better looking, more athletic, better at sex, have more partners, make more money, have better policies, how do they fail? Like at all? younger ones I’ve met seem naive but not angry. Yeah I don't believe this at all
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/24 03:38 PM
0

My vehicle isn't even lifted and I can change the oil without using a jack Then you have a truck lol. Maybe growing up in a body shop has given me a skewed perspective on what I consider easy work. The amount of shop people that don't specifically change their own oil because of how tedious and dirty it is, is higher than I expected. It's the one job that I see a lot of mechanics just forgo getting done from someone else.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/24 03:24 PM

Psychology heavily relies on what people say as it is a soft science. We can more or less throw out what you said based on this. I’ve never heard a liberal not seethe when discussing politics I've never discussed politics with anyone and not heard them seethe. I've heard many conservatives outright vow to kill Trudeau/Biden in public to like, randoms.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/24 03:21 PM

Conservatives self report as happier, the same studies that say this also indicate that they smile with their eyes less than left wing people. Food for thought.

It's true that men have this insecurity about what they like vs how theyll be perceived by their peers but that usually ends when high school ends and their peers broaden. Some remain trapped. Had this exact conversation not too long ago.

Just responding to sexism. It wasn't too long ago that the stereotype was women's relationships were fleeting and surface level and here you are doing the same thing based on the faulty conclusion that there is a unique male loneliness problem. Both genders report the same level of loneliness, and it's very clear that both genders have the same level of deep, meaningful relationships.

The point is the woman believes I will snap and kill/rape her on instinct This is the point, there's no lie here. This is what women are saying when they make the comparison. I am a wild animal ready to kill. Maybe it's you thats missing the point here.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/24 03:02 PM
5

The point is the woman believes I will snap and kill/rape her on instinct and this is a higher likelihood than being killed on a hiking trail with a wild animal. Not only does it take my agency away, it likens all men to lunacy. If you believe that it's productive to open dialogues with that, I don't know what to say? The only thing is that you kinda believe its true for you? Don't kill your wife please.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/24 02:57 PM
7

This is ridiculous, how can you simply slough off the characterization that you're worse than a wild animal? They are talking about you also, make no mistake. You are dangerous and no amount of preening will make you and less. Personally, I know I'm not worse than a bear to a strange woman on a hiking trail, but that's just me. Maybe you should look inward, bud. Shoe fits here, unfortunately.

Sorry, I'm already characterized this way, no matter what I do. Original sin. Since you seem to agree men are more dangerous than bears, I would hope you don't snap and kill your gf/wife
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/24 01:55 PM
9

There's no dialogue if I'm already, and always will be, a dangerous wild animal.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/24 01:49 PM

TERFism is heavily steeped in 'misandry'. It's an essential point; male infiltrators in female spaces. If you go on 2X or Twitter and see people going men bad, you don't have to scroll far before you get to JKR style arguments. though I do know they are thoroughly despised and rejected by mainstream and even (most) radical feminism. Depends if you're on TERF island or not Conservative men are also quite prominent gender police. Yes but this topic is about women
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/24 04:32 PM

Largest contingent of people who are admitted misandrists are either full TERFs or recently out trans lesbians. Largest group of gender police are conservative women. Feel like it's easy to stay in your lane.

🤦‍♂️ lmao man please, I know more about this than you. Evolution is not a directed process. Look up explore-exploit tradeoffs (to borrow computational terms) if you need more of an idea of how this process works. Selected against is not a binary. There are local minima everywhere and they can traits can arise back in any environment, akin to random walk brownian motion in certain circumstances. My child is not about to sprout wings, but you get the idea.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/24 04:03 PM
2

Yes selected against. It's different than having completely lost the ability. Back to the books for you. And btw the way, some women die from even having one child dude. Does that mean that evolution has selected against women that have children in general? It means a lot of things could be selected against. Or nothing at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/24 03:52 PM
1

This is something you have to come to grips with eventually. Men tend to mellow out by 30 which is why they get relationships then, and why 20-somethings believe that's when men are the most attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/24 03:47 PM
1

Pregnancies with 2 or more are very rare compared to basically all mammals. Human females would have lost the ability to even have multiple children at all if it were really that dangerous. Are you sure you understand evolution?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/24 03:38 PM
3

Human children are far more taxing on women than other mammals, to accommodate their large brains. Having multiple pregnancies would likely kill. That's why the most common pregnancy is 1 child.

tedious red-tape of their children's lives Nah I think the issue here is that you have an expectation of how to parent your child bordering on helicopter-parenting. It's funny because a large amount of religious women are left without a partner because there simply isn't enough religious men in the community. It's a meme that young religious women can't find a sufficiently religious man, like thats your trad partner right there. Just pretend on Sundays.

Don't get me wrong, I don't really deny that you don't have to build muscle to be attractive. I grew up pretty ug, but I experimented a lot and found my niche. But to be the most broad appeal, i.e. 'the most attractive' as outlined in the OP, you definitely do.

Men that don't exercise in some capacity tend to be skinny fat at best. Some can even do some sport and look like that. To be 'the most attractive' you have to do some heavy resistance training.

Men get into relationships for companionship, same as women. Men might like casual sex more but that's about it. Some blue pill here.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 06:21 PM

I said they're worth the same, because it's about what they're attached to. Weird situation to have to argue against objectification to a woman. Like what are we doing here. Most women aren't sex workers either.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 03:48 PM

Its giving up your body for money all the same. Unless you're boiling it down to just genitals, then it's weird to see a so called blue pill woman objectify herself to this extent
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 03:31 PM

I didn't pull the numbers 120k and 400k from nothing. Because that's pretty much my situation. our household income is 300k so this isn't a problem I have. But if you really think that wanting more than 90k from a man in this current environment is high maintenance, there's nothing more to say really. I think you're high maintenance, sorry. You're pretty divorced from how the median income household operates. No hate, but it is what it is. You can't imagine what its like to live on 120k and that…

Nah her music is good
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 04:00 PM

If you want to be a stay at home wife then yeah, you'd need more than 90k for a 400k house. But if you're working then nah. Seems you might be high maintenance and justifying it? Not sure how you'd have no savings on 120k unless.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 03:45 PM
1

90k From both people? That's more than enough. I'd say 120k combined household income is enough for that too.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 03:28 AM
2

If your idea of a house is a riverside detached 2 story loft, then yes, you'll need 90k. But I think your vision of a home is a lot higher than most people and therefore you probably need someone with that much money. No problem here but you might have expensive tastes.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 03:38 PM
1

You can easily buy a house on 90k household income. As in both contributing to the 90k. I bought one on 60k. Unless you want to be a SAHM?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 03:22 PM

However, the man wouldn’t have loved that child if it wasn’t related to him. That is why many men are enraged by the thought of giving affection to a child that isn’t theirs, aka cuckolding This is an incredibly sexist thing to say. I know of at least 2 men that deeply love their adoptive/step-children. You've let a subreddit colour your opinion of people.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 07:45 PM

Me, to the father who lost his child: I'm so sorry you lost your genetic lineage :( Do you need me to explain love? This is one of those cases that this subreddit is completely divorced from reality. Pure utilitarian nonsense. The 'value' in the OP is so background it hardly registers. We see parents care for their children that're in jail or worse, how do these children provide 'production, affection, genetic lineage'?

Nothing more than the implicit commitment itself as a form of love. If that's a road too far, by all means. If you're looking for incentives, the US government has your back.

There's a meme on twitter recently where women, when faced with misogyny on that platform, are saying 'the male suicide rate is not high enough'. It's more indirect forms of violence.

That's very different than what I generally see, that most women want men to stop hitting on them. It's a win-win if the creepy dude just uses porn.

Heaps of women say they would choose that if sexuality was a choice. This is not a normal thing to say about the opposite sex. Those women hate men. You're a good example of why some women wish they were gay. Like I said, I have a girlfriend, and have actively dated in the past. None of these women wish desperately to go gay. I'm well aware how difficult it is to put on muscle, even as someone with relatively good genetics. I've been working out for 3 years consistently and I'm not at that level yet (granted I'm not dedicating a major portion of my life to it). I was just looking at pics of MBJ off cut and it's definitely more achievable on a fairly strict diet.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/23 04:30 PM

I was trying to give the OP the benefit of the doubt. Michael B Jordan in that professional shot has some lighting tricks and an intense cut beforehand, his off season body is much more achievable. OP talks about how 'close' they are in 1-2 years but that's the thing, it's easy to get 'close', the last 10% is why it takes years.

Idk what to say, people blame smokers for their circumstances too. Same for any myriad of unhealthy choices people make that come back to bite them (obesity etc.). Genetic diseases are just a piece of the pie, but if that's the extent of the well of your empathy, then the fount has run dry. It seems like the full extent of your empathy is genetics, leads to a cold hard world.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/23 04:57 PM

You can easily find ways in which you can blame someone for getting cancer/dementia for their choices. In fact people do it all the time. This is my point, and the difference between you and I. For you, a simple courtesy for this particular group is a road to far. I'm not even talking about like helping single mothers here.

Yeah we all have to live with our choices. That's not insight. Saying 'that sucks man' to a single mother is not a 'get-out-of-jail free card', it's barely anything.

You could probably find reasons to lose empathy for anyone due to their choices if you're cynical enough.

Yeah I'm incredulous. I think it's either the dadbod that still needs some gym time which is fine. But the average dumpy male body is pretty universally unappealing at first glance.

Digital self-harm is something I bet a lot of the men here partake in. It's why touch grass is so pithy. You are first and foremost the main avenue of what you consume.

Like this is great an all but you don't really get what I'm saying here. Mostly because your examples are... old, and they continue to be. I'm going to link something that is kinda what I'm getting at: https://bloodknife.com/everyone-beautiful-no-one-horny/ I think what you need to see is that this actual capital-A Archetype which was prominent at one point is kinda lost. I mean, you're struggling to find a few. DJ Khaled is the butt of a the joke but I'll give you Nathaniel Rateliff. There's been some high profile overweight women that top charts but it's not really the norm. I don't think this everyman dumpy male character exists as an archetype nowadays. You really have to search for one that isn't a failson or equivalent. Everyone these days is too pretty/handsome. I think this feminism is apres garde.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/23 04:08 AM

I'm asking for a modern equivalent, I don't think there is an overweight, unappealing man in film or music that came to prominence in the last 15 years

Everyone you just said had their best careers pre-2000... Are you gen X?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/23 08:41 PM

So like, I think this more or less proves my point. In order for an unappealing guy to get an acting role, he has to slim down and look... appealing. Seth Rogen seems to be the last guy out there in this role but outside The Fabelmans, he's a voice actor now. Like David Harbour went through a phase where he was Hollywood hot on Stranger Things. I don't think there really is this type of representation anymore for men. To be fair, I don't think its really there for women either. Much of the 'repr…

Once again, in the US, the rebound of employment to population after the pandemic was driven mostly by 16-30 year olds. So there aren't that many young people doing this. Maybe in other countries.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/23 07:09 PM

on average humans are happier in romantic relationships than not, yes. This holds true for women as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/23 03:35 PM

However, for the most part I think most women become mothers based on accidently pregnancy, social pressure and FOMO. This is definitely projection lol

Humans are social and monogamous so its more likely the happiest of us are in long term relationships. Like this pretty much follows intuition. Of course if you believe a majority or even a significant portion of women are trapped in relationships in this day of age that might be hard to fathom but that's really stupid to believe???

Why do we feel it necessary to collectivize schooling if not for the socialization aspect. What you've stated can be accomplished by homeschooling.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/22 06:34 PM
1

Explain your reasoning
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/22 06:00 PM
1

Schooling is first and foremost, a daycare for children during their most rambunctious years. Its also to socialize boys and girls in the formative years. If it was for education, we aren't very good at it. We live in an individualist society, school is a crucible. You aren't going to get people to hold your hand that isn't your mother and father.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/22 05:51 PM
3

Isn't this already answered in: Just because we aren’t entitled to something doesn’t mean we can’t help each other either though. If you're wondering if there is a government program to help men with relationships, its called school. Conventional wisdom being that forced socialization helps in the long run.

What I'm trying to get at here is there is confounding effects and a discontinous relationship between "attractiveness" and "conservativeness". I think it was definitely more prevalent in Gen X and Boomer populations, probably less so now. Its difficult to parse attractiveness and even relationship success much less causation in some of these studies so I don't really put much weight in them. Way too many counterfactuals.

I think men are more comfortable in misery and less willing to change, which is why fewer will divorce first. I read that article and the articles it's referencing, and I'm not convinced. It really comes off as one woman's crusade to justify her singleness, especially in the talk about "powerful marriage organizations" (lol come on). None of what was posted answers the question - Do single people fair better than married people - and instead answers whether single women are better off than singl…

https://www.vox.com/future-perfect/2019/6/4/18650969/married-women-miserable-fake-paul-dolan-happiness That finding is the result of a grievous misunderstanding on Dolan’s part of how the American Time Use Survey works. The people conducting the survey didn’t ask married people how happy they were, shoo their spouses out of the room, and then ask again. Dolan had misinterpreted one of the categories in the survey, “spouse absent,” which refers to married people whose partner is no longer living …

Marital statistics also show that single women without children are happier than married women AND men. This is based on faulty analysis from the researcher. All married are happier than all single. This meme will probably never die.

We really haven't updated anything in like the 10-15 years since the Me Generation came out, probably longer. Back then it used to be why can't these kids find jobs and now its why they can't start families. Really obvious simple reasons why, and they'll tell you the reasons, but we still need to rehash old arguments to wash our hands of it. As a counter, I grew up playing sports and I'm still very awkward. I date a bunch too.

TFR is falling everywhere, even in places with high religiosity. Polish TFR has fallen to German levels while maintaining a very high religiosity. Not exactly an outlier either in East Europe. If atheism/non-religiosity is dysgenic why does it continue to increase? How did it start? It should have been easily bred out. When women blame men for there actions, it is good. Totally forgot saying this, I'll have to scroll up. That is the origin of all hate, the actions of another. People are not born hating another, they become hateful because of something they did. Your reaction is well within your agency. You are not a compelled to do anything outside of your biology. You are rightly condemned for your antipathy.

AWALT. Do I need to bring even MORE studies? It's become increasingly clear that there are is a gradient of people on the promiscuity scale and it has a genetic component. That those with high promiscuity traits tend to be more likely to cheat in a relationship, have Machiavellian traits and prefer short term relationships. Saying AWALT is either projection or ignorance to a different world, because there is a large portion of highly sexual individuals that do not want a variety of partners in b…

Or people with dark triad traits aren't interested in LTRs. That's fine, but tons of red pill lamenting about relationships are inconsistent. If its a strategy to get laid, go for it. Anyway, being an asshole is sexually attractive. Only to one group of women.

This survey (N 224) found that characteristics collectively known as the Dark Triad (i.e. narcissism, psychopathy and Machiavellianism) were correlated with various dimensions of short-term mating but not long-term mating. Your studies tend to have that in them. Since number of sexual partners tends to be modal you seem to be grouping two fuzzy groups into one, highly promiscuous and not. Seems like those highly promiscuous women either don't care or are positively correlated with these traits, …

Looks like we've arrived at the same point, self esteem is the pursuit before self actualization. Nonetheless, I'm not sure why we are boxed into Maslow or Freud for that matter. There is a dictionary definition of the term, its not Maslow's since he didn't coin it.

Endogenity is an explanatory variable, something causal. Sex is on the below self-actualization, along with self esteem.

I don't really care what you've written tbh. He also said in his article most people dont get to pursue self actualization for much in their lives Yes what is the endogenity of the pursuit? This is an actual question to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/20 12:07 AM
1

Maslow defined self-actualization to be "the desire for self-fulfillment, namely the tendency for him [the individual] to become actualized in what he is potentially. This tendency might be phrased as the desire to become more and more what one is, to become everything that one is capable of becoming." How does the achieving the "highest levels of happiness" fall outside of this?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/20 11:49 PM

People are trying to rationally achieve the "highest levels of happiness" and this concept was completely lost on you. My god this is all intrinsic to self-acutalization. It's like you're autistically against the term.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/20 11:40 PM

Men through use of generating market value gain self-actualization. This is basically the reason people do things. You say women don't take work seriously. Vis-a-vis, women don't respond to self-actualization. If you believe the profit motive is literally the only thing that drives people you are stupid as fuck.

... think of where men earn value. Provision, protection, and focus. They permit the survival of everyone around them by their trade with the economic market. And they do the hard, harsh but needed jobs. Women refuse to do it seriously. So it becomes a thing only men gain. Did you miss this? Like it's basically your entire comment.

I think you give conservatives more slack than you give leftists. And you haven't demonstrated that it's justifiable. So you agree that conservatives like to say they're tolerant and open minded. So you agree there are heavy handed conservative movies out there. Nah, conservatives talk about how they are able to shoot the shit a lot easier and are more tolerant of other viewpoints. They do this a lot. There's a movie coming out that has a sympathetic working class being literally hunted by a liberal bourgeoisie. Clint Eastwood had a good movie about how the liberal media effectively ruined someones life. I think this is mostly because of supply. Liberals are the types that tend to go into fields that are largely art based. Kind of hard for conservatives…

Hmm, I think a lot of conservatives have been talking about how much they're more tolerant and open minded than the left. I've certainly heard it a bunch recently. On conservative networks too.
