The New “Have Yachts” Economy

Aaron Renn’s post, The Rich, the Poor, and the Ultra-Rich (2025/11/19), explains how there has been a social class shift within American society over the past ~30 years, resulting in a permanently bifurcated economy.

The rich “Have’s” (top 10%) now command over 50% of all spending power and are driving explosive economic growth, such as luxury travel and 5 Star Michelin entrees.

The ultra-rich “Have Yachts” (top 0.1%) are pulling away into a pampered, fully privatized world of $400+/night hotels, private jets, vetted clubs, chauffeured airport suites, separate accommodations to evade crowds, and VIP everything.

Businesses, hotels, sports venues, travel agencies, and entire cities are rapidly reorienting to serve the affluent while shrinking middle-tier offerings and eliminating cheap access to many popular venues, like sports games. The result is a two-tier society—luxury booming, everything else stagnating.

The middle and poorer working classes (the “Have Not’s”) are facing an irreversible decline in relative income and an erosion of lifestyle.  Those who self-identify as middle class are 54%, down from 85% a decade ago.  Essentially, what was once known as the Middle Class is now the new de facto Lower Class.  They are making ends meet by buying less, cutting volumes, and stretching products.  Some are moving to areas with a less expensive cost of living.  But it seems no matter what they do, they are only locking themselves ever more inescapably into the New Lower Class.  Given the high degree of immobility, some have even called it a new caste system, rather than the traditional labels of socioeconomic classes. See Renn’s post and his linked articles for more details.

I will speculate that at least part of the source of this new bourgeoisie is from hard-working, well-to-do Boomers who invested their money in wealth-generating businesses and other types of accumulating assets, and then passed these financial securities on to their children, instead of blowing it on themselves. As of now, this is about all I can say about this phenomenon. Readers are welcome to share their own thoughts about the whys and wherefores.

Yacht Widows

Long-time Red Pill readers are familiar with the term “Alpha Widow”, which refers to the phenomenon in which a woman has a love affair, or simply a ONS, with a prime SMV man, and then forever after pines for him, or another man equal to or better than him.  Afterwards, they vehemently despise the thought of hooking up with, or *gasp* marrying any lesser man, even one who would truly be her SMV equal, or who might have otherwise offered her a very good relationship, had she not been spoiled.

And who could forget Roissy’s catchphrases: “For most women, five minutes of Alpha is worth five years of beta”, and “Five Minutes Of Alpha = Fifty Years Of Pining”?

However, Renn’s piece describes a much different socioeconomic / sexual landscape than what PUAs engaged with 10-20 years ago.  It stands to reason that today’s women aren’t just looking to bed a Ch@d; they’re aiming to cozy up with an Uber Class Man who is also a Ch@d.

Social media (IG, TT, YT, etc.) has already given us glimpses of how this plays out.  “Gold Diggers” is the label that is being tossed around, but this old moniker doesn’t even begin to adequately describe it.

These days, young women who are sufficiently hot enough to catch the eye of a young rich Playboy are invited to week-long ‘dates’ in Cancun, the Maldives, Mauritius, and Milan, on private jets, yacht parties, and all that.  After having a first-hand experience of uber luxury, flying on a private jet, having a personal valet, as well as a few drinks, and a few F_cks, they totally lose their souls in the experience.  They forget that they did nothing to earn this, and they know nothing about how to blend into the upper crust.  Their common-class insensibilities and vices eventually cause them to be rejected from these posh social circles, just as soon as their ‘usefulness’ as arm candy, d!ck ornaments, and sexual playthings has expired — and it always does. The Wall is invincible.

After having such an experience, they will always expect a man to deliver uber luxury as a matter of course.  Going back to a middle-class lifestyle after this sexperience would inflict too much guilt for them to handle.  They are essentially “Yacht Widows”.

Whence Come Such Exorbitant Demands?

Over the past year or so, we’ve seen a rising tide of women turning up their noses at traditionally popular low-cost dating activities such as informal coffee dates, NetFlix and Chill, walks in the park, and such.  Instead, they’re NOT only expecting, but DEMANDING men to treat them to lavish dinner dates with the choicest cuts of filet mignon and a night high on the town at the most exclusive black tie venues.  Some women even set lower-limits on how much money the men they date should spend on them, ranging in the low to mid hundreds of dollars — per date — all without any commitment or investment whatsoever from these women.

I’ve often wondered, how the hə11 did these women ever come to expect so d@mn much?  Princess Disneyfication doesn’t quite fully explain it.

Well, now we know how modern women form these astronomical expectations.  They took a ‘sexperience trip’ somewhere sunny, warm, and sopping wet with an Uber Moneyed Man and got themselves Yacht Widowed.

Of course, she’ll never tell you about that yacht trip she took to the Bahamas when she was 19 years old, and how she bent over the rail and barfed her multiple margueritas into the Gulf of Mexico while she was taking it from behind. But she’ll still expect you to “do better”.

Gentlemen, do yourselves a favor and Hard Pass Yacht Widows.
