Maybe this doesn’t quite count, but I kicked my LV/NV bf out last week (day after Christmas), even though I didn’t officially break up with him until today. It’s a great way to end 2020 and start 2021! I had been lurking here for a few weeks and took time to read the handbook and many of the posts and it reminded me that I used to actually have these standards! So what happened?! I was so mad at myself and embarrassed for allowing such low value and abusive behavior from this man. He didn’t present as LV for seven months- he was covert and the manipulation, gaslighting, and abuse slowly slipped in. I’m so thankful for finding this sub because it reminded me of who I am and is giving me the reminders I need to move on and move up. Thank you to you all for your support and inspiration. I’m so glad to be here and begin getting my power back.
