First of all I apologize for the formatting, I'm on mobile, and also I din't consent to this post being posted in any other subreddits or in facebook, twitter, or other social media.

Hi FDS girlies! Newbie here. For the past eight months I've been in love with a guy. We've been dating for that time and I guess today is it? I don't exactly know what I want yet, but I do know that I want to be treated better. Reading this subreddit's handbook, and also from lurking for days, I've finally understood that a HVM will treat me better. For months my friends have been telling me to dump his ass, and I couldn't because I felt that I could see his worth. He treats me with respect and shows me love, after all. (As expected, I know.) We broke up in the past because of his mental health, but he quickly realized that it was a mistake. I wouldn't totally call him a LVM, because we're still young (I'm 19 and he's less than a year older) but I also understand that I'm not going to get what I deserve from him right now. We both have a lot of growing up to do.

I'm posting because I just would like to ask for advice, tips, and experiences from you girls on how to move on and how to fully know your worth, as well as encouragement. I've been giving him (and myself as well) some space for now. It's a really big step because in the past, I didn't want to be the one to break up with partners because I was afraid of regretting my decision, although now FDS taught me to cut my losses instead of letting things drag on. I just really need a safe space to share and have some advice, about how to move on, how to know mybworth, and to be a HVW instead of a pickmeisha or some sort. :))
