The last guy I dated was the first born son. He was raised to believe he had incredible value just because he was a man. His parents treated him better than his sisters. Compared to his sisters, he was treated with much more respect and shall I say worship. His mother constantly told him, "You're the best." Meanwhile, growing up, my parents never said anything nice to me. I was never given encouragement, told I was amazing, or anything good like that. I grew up not knowing my own worth. As I grew older, I grew into a beautiful woman. I blossomed, and as I had since young, I carried with me qualities of love, joy, empathy, and compassion. I added value to people's life. This guy, on the other hand, lived his life using people, cheating on people, and bringing people so much pain. But in his mind, he was the best. He was amazing. He was incredible. During our relationship, he made me believe that HE was the prize. I found myself trying to please him, fawning over him, and caring about him more than I cared about my own well-being. I was devastated when things ended between us. Only after some time did I realize, he was nothing. He was literally nothing. He had nothing good to offer me and did not contribute positively to my life at all. All of a sudden, the pedestal he had placed himself on toppled over. Despite what he was brainwashed to believe, he was really nothing.
The veil lifted from my eyes, and I saw reality. He was balding, skinny as a stick, boring as hell, could not make proper conversations, and a heartbreaker. He was a literal heartbreaker who ran around leaving pain in every life he came across. This man's mother and general upbringing didn't do him any favors. He was fed the delusion that he was really great and better than others. He was taught that women are not worthy of respect like men. Whereas women like me were never taught just how valuable we are. Do you see the contrast? We have men out here, thinking they're the shit when they're not. Then we have beautiful, loving, intelligent, awesome women who don't even know their own worth. Something is wrong with that. Things have got to change.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
