I know I can count many times where I felt gas lighted by my ex-wife ... she believed that something happened that for certain didn't or changed key points of a memory to better position her than what I knew to be truth as I witnessed it myself. After a few times of this happening, I began documenting every thing just so I'd have proof. Every time I'd catch her in this behavior she'd get emotional and try to divert from the untruth.

One observation is why do people (my ex was has bi-polar and histrionic disorder) always get into mental health professions (psychology / psychotherapy) or something else that you wouldn't want a certified crazy person to be a part of ( in her case social work).

If those in a state of vulnerability and truly need help are being supposedly helped by those that are not mentally stable , then I can understand why we live in such a messed up world .
