This is one of the reasons why I can't get on board with free college, at least not for absolutely any degree. A gender studies degree is WORSE THAN NO DEGREE. I would hire a theater major before a gender studies one. The theater major has no practical commercial application, but at least the stuff they studied is probably true. Gender studies is nothing but a pile of feminist propaganda. It's distorted garbage that is mostly untrue. I would hire a high-school drop out before a gender studies major. If I looked at a resume and saw "gender studies" as their field of study, that translates to, "She'll dream up some reason to sue the company." Do you want to work with a high-school dropout who doesn't know much, but you might be able to train or do you want a know-it-all feminist bitch who did 4 years of feminist brainwashing and will probably tie the company up in lawsuits? Anyone who would hire a gender studies major is out of their mind.

Reminds me a story from a few years ago where some woman got a doctorate in medieval history (maybe medieval art) and sued her school because she couldn't find employment. And, of course, she thinks of herself as being highly intelligent. It doesn't take a lot of brain power to search for positions requiring that degree that realize employment prospects would be slim.

I once accidentally attended what seemed like a gender studies class. It was called Human Development. It only took 30 minutes to realize what a mistake I've done. Dropped the class same day.

Actually, she's right in a way. Her degree is as valid as any other degree. After all, isn't a degree just a piece of paper saying that you are proficient in whatever your endeavor was as administered by the institution you got it from?

That's nothing to speak of the validity of the subject itself or its worth as an enriching field of study.
