I'm watching season 2 right now on Netflix and in the second episode they refer to a football player (De'Andre) who has hit a woman in a bar. He was 17 years old and she was really obnoxious, she even threw the first punch, and his career was almost over.

She even got some time on television all crying that she was the victim. What the fuck. This whole episode is about him and what he has done is 'wrong'. His mother says: "I cried for three days, I don't teach my kids this".

From my perspective he wanted to buy a drink and she wouldn't give him some room. She freaked out and raised her own fists in his face. He grabbed one fist and she threw a punch to his face with the other hand. He reacted on that and gave her one clean hit. Nothing more. She deserved that.
