long story short:

I decided to pursue a PhD in engineering at a top 5 US school. 7 months in, I find my passion eroding - i'm rarely having the chance to discuss my project with my supervisor (woman) who only sees me once every 2 months. On the contrary, my female associates seem to receive significantly more contact time and direction. I also have lupus, which makes working exponentially more difficult. I recently discovered that half the females have BP boyfriends that 'help' them with coding. I'm frustrated because I guess I turned down reasonable job opportunities for this, only to discover that AWALT has pretty much permeated through all echelons of society. There's nobody here I can relate to, my health doesn't make it better either.

Fellow MGTOW brothers, what would you do? Would you see it through, or would you cut yourself loose?

My only gripe is that I don't have a back up plan, and beggars can't be choosers.
