Peter Parker is a simp character. He's drooling over the girl next door for years. Still like the original Spiderman story. It's about a guy who never had power, should never have power, but gets it anyway by chance. And then needs to learn to take responsibility for that power. It's a good story about the transformation from boy to man. Much better than the new marvel stories that are basically just about strong whamen because strong whamen. Some mutated freaks pluss special effects and empty stories and characters. I use to collect marvel, but they lost me years ago.

Literally the only watchable film in the whole spider canon is the first Tobey McGuire one. All sequels, remakes and reboots were terrible.

Personally I never liked the original Spider-Man trillogy. I never got why people liked it in the first place... it was so childish, tame and cartoony that it made me cringe even back when I saw if for the first time.
When I saw the first Sony Spider-man - I liked it. The plot was not the best, but not as cringy as the previous movies (maybe except for the hero crane man to the rescue scene) and Spider Man was fine as both peter parker, and spider-man, he was quippy, funny and laid back... I liked it a lot. The Stan Lee cameo was pretty funny, and the monster was actually stronger than Spider Man - he defeated him twice before being ultimately destroyed - so it actually posed a threat to the Spider Man character - which didn't really happen in the other movies.
Finally...the female love interest was kinda cool in a movie for once... she did stuff on her own, was a key character to help spider man in the end, had some funny lines - overall not a bad character. And good looking too.
Too bad Sony royally fucked up the second movie.... the characters were terrible, the plot was boring and the drama was nauseating. No real threat, the Rhino which was overhypped in the trailers was basically a joke. Terrible ideas and execution.
The newest Marvel Spider-Man is a joke. The characters got race swapped for no reason, key characters in the comics were ruined... the plot was pretty mech, Spider-Man being a Iron-Spider-Man is a terrible idea. The only good thing about the Spider Man was the villain, he wasn't really a threat to Spider Man ever, but he was kinda cool. That's it.
I didn't go for the new one and I'm not going to see anymore marvel movies... they are lost in the sea of wokeness... I'm not giving them my money anymore.
