This is for the older MGTOW specifically, but any wisdom is wisdom.
I'm past 30 and I did my decade of simping. I raged. I bartered. I simped. I cried a lot and drank too much. Now I'm happy, make more than I need, and couldn't even make a best friend a roomy because of how much I love living alone with ME.
So what do I need? To get some book references for dealing with shame. That may be all you need but ill elaborate a bit without writing a book.
The one-itis single mom (now of 2) is back in town and I'm a sitting duck because of the market (GD Californians). She came back around to test out her quickly fading manipulation tactics because I GUARANTEE no self-respecting man could look at that mug without some imprint of the beautiful woman I used to think she was. So I shot down her attempts. So she got mad and is .... giving me the silent treatment? I don't talk to her so not sure how that works but hey whatever gets the tingles.
I'm elated to say that she has NO more power over me and I was talking to her like a child with a disability. I legit think she might actually be, by public school standards, retarded. I almost tried to talk to the new bf who drives a nice car and is slumming it. A neighbor told me he just got out of a divorce and has 2 of his own.
So the only 2 things that struck me were: DUDE WTF ARE YOU DOING!, and WTF WAS WRONG WITH ME?
As far as helping him, I know better. I'm staying far away. She's probably told him god knows what and he'd have to decide if he can win a fight for some kind of honor or something. BUT the thinking about how many times I tried to be with that girl has me feeling regret and shame I've never felt.
How could I hate myself THAT much, that I'd watch married men and heroin addicts come and go and still get back in line each and every time?
Summer is here. The Harley is ready. My bros are single and we are getting hit on like never before (dirty 30, baby). So, I need to absorb content that will help me forgive myself.
Thanks, boys!
