This isn't a bad summary of the changes that Netflix made to Richard K. Morgan's outstanding debut novel, Altered Carbon.

They have created a sister out of whole cloth, created a personal relationship with Quellchrist Falconer that wasn't in the book, converted Envoys from agents of the state to rebels (and also thus made them historical, rather than current), made Takeshi Kovacs much less masculine, spent most of episode 7 in dialogue instead of action, etc.

They also made the women kick ass, especially the sister, because of course women fight like men. After all, what woman who weighs 100 pounds soaking wet can't toss seal team 6 around like matchsticks? At least they had the decency to give Ortega a bionic arm before having her kick ass.

Netflix is clearly SJW converged. Like DC and Marvel, like the rest of Hollywood, like the NFL, like print newspapers and like broadcast media, they will be out of business soon as men turn their backs in droves.

Edit: I wonder how soon, if ever, before authors learn that allowing this sort of castration will hurt book sales rather than boosting them? I wouldn't want to read his book if all I saw was the Netflix series.
