In the first video, a man physically attacks the cab driver, reaching across the seat, grabbing his head, and slamming it into the window. That's a shocking physical assault.

The second video isn't a shocking physical assault, it's a grown woman being a brat, but the dangerous thing is that she's a brat who's being enabled by the law and the media. He knows and she knows and she knows that he knows that if she comes out of the incident with a scratch, his livelihood will be destroyed.

She might be 5' and 100lbs, but the power and class differential is very much on her side. She's an upper middle class doctor with access to lawyers and PR advisors. He's not even a cab driver (which would entitle him to the legal protections built up by the brotherhood of cab drivers since the horse and carriage days), he's an Uber driver who can be suspended from the active list on the basis of a frivolous complaint on social media.

So when princess is sitting in his car enjoying her power trip mocking the little people who can't touch her, the only recourse he has is to pretend that what's happening is the same sort of violent assault we saw in the first video. An old school cab driver, accustomed to dealing with crazies and given the discretion to do so without losing his job, would have thrown this crazy out of his cab and that would have been the end of the story. The Uber driver is doing exactly the right thing given the system in place in 2015 - he's using the police 911 system to report a tantrum.
