I have recently gone back on the "dating market" after 2 years of LDR with someone who was fairly likeminded, and the options I see on OKCupid are just appalling. I'm not talking about looks, there's many attractive girls out there, but personality- where exactly is it? Why so little of it?
I can acknowledge an online dating profile won't tell me all that much of what I need to know about a girl, but can I assume that if the most important thing a possible partner needs to know about you is that you like sushi, you don't have all that much going for you?
And this is how I see no less than 90% of the profiles on the site, a site that's supposed to be for long term relationships as compared to Tinder.
No, you don't have to be into Nietzsche and Dostoevsky, but can you at least read something in your adult life? No you don't have to be a Cinephile, but is there nothing you liked better to watch than Friends?
Hitting the gym is great, but any hobbies other than that? Maintaining an instagram profile full of your selfies doesn't count.
I honestly find being an interesting conversation partner with a broad range of interests and an open mind, to be one of the most attractive things in a person, so why is it that when I venture to find one the selection is so small?
And no this isn't a call for redpillers to rant about how women suck, I would like more of the women folk here to actually answer, perhaps defend their sisters, perhaps bash me or men like me for expecting too much or being too quick to judge, but I'd like to actually understand whats going on here.
