The best thing we can do for our children is prepare them with the knowledge to make wise decisions in our absence/ when it comes to make the choices themselves. The really scary shit like do they go do some random bullshit with some bad people one day or nope out of there. Or do things like take drugs like heroin or cocaine. There will come a time where you have to step back and let them get on with whatever it is they want to do in life.

From the earliest age I was teaching my daughter to be self sufficient, if she could do it, then I would get her to do it. For example, opening her own car door, or taking her plate back to the kitchen when we were done eating.

Teach them to question the world, to think rationally and try and see situations from other people's perspectives. Most people out there aren't evil, just ignorant.

Find a passion and pursue it. Try and eat healthily and take care of their bodies.

Ideally you want to be able to instill in them the ability to delay gratification, but that is not taught easily. Discipline, do the shit you dont like today so you can have more time to do what you actually want to do.

Teach them that competition is ultimately with yourself, you can't lie to yourself.

Its kinda weird to ask MRP about that. I've got a 4 year old daughter and I'm going to guide her through her own life and choices. Like I would my two sons.

BUT what I'm not going to do is be concerned about my daughters vagina. That's her damn business and it's weird to roll up into a sexual strategy sub and talk about children like that. So I get the ban.

You can understand how we might treat others differently and not apply the context of children to situations where that's inappropriate to do so, right?

I have three daughters and three granddaughters. I do my best to ensure that they're as educated and accomplished as possible. Actual strong independent woman (not ones who only think they are).
