TW: pregnancy loss

I recently miscarried at 9 & 1/2 weeks (our first pregnancy). We’re both devastated.

My husband is not one to display emotions. He’s emotionally very strong and approaches things in a very logical manner. In the almost 7 years I’ve known him and the 2 years we’ve been married, I’ve never once seen him even close to shedding a tear despite losing a few people very dear to him over the years. Yet when we found out, I saw tears well up in his eyes for the first time. We cried in each other’s arms that night. I’ve never seen him like this and I want to help him yet at the same time I’m reeling from the loss myself so I just feel incapable of being emotionally supportive right now. Any time I start crying, I can see the pain return in his face as he tries to comfort me. I’ve taken to just crying alone in the shower so as not to burden him, even though he is very supportive. I just don’t know what to do.

If anyone has gone through something similar, I’d appreciate any advice or hearing about your story and how you’ve dealt with this. I just can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel right now.
