Like many of you, I was a virgin into my 20s, dealt with extreme social anxiety (at one point I never left the house), isolated from a young age with no role models, no social savvy, no hobbies, and little to offer women. Thanks to core game, redpill truths, picking up heavy shit, a little sense of style, and tanning, I've enjoyed some fantastic women, successful cold approaches (around 200ish now and increasing weekly), and a far more active lifestyle. I feel more like a Man every day.

But it's a hell of a climb. I'm still struggling internally. I still sometimes put strangers above me. I still sometimes hold others opinions over my own. I worry I'm not witty enough, funny enough, big enough. I care. Yea, from time to time I feel inadequate. My outward appearance is incongruent.

My original belief was that pickup and women would solve these feelings, but women and sex have not fulfilled me at all. They definitely can't cure me. Women are merely a very honest measuring stick and a few of them are good side-kicks. Unfortunately, it's typical that I have to learn things in the wrong order. I've accepted that I am flawed and need help. I've been visiting a psychologist and learning about Cognitive Therapy. This brilliant, stupid-simple therapy has given me the tools to fight the source of my real problem: irrational, negative thoughts that impede my progress.

All of my recent experiences have culiminated into an important realization-- Being Alpha simply means that you are absolutely content with who you are. It doesn't mean you can bench 900lb or fuck any 19 year old in the nearest bathroom. The most Alpha mother fucker out there could have 10 soft harems, but he could just as easily be in a committed relationship for 30 years or some homeless dude that enjoys panning for gold.

I've always liked this place--minus the larps and neckbeard badges--because there's an inherent understanding that we must find inner peace and contentment. Women are not the goal. But there's very little actionable advice.

These are the 4 strategies that I've learned to employ to become my version of Alpha. For the past 8 months, these strategies have been literally changing my life in quick fashion, improving every experience I have:

  1. I am only allowed to compare my current self to my past self, because all I can do is learn to better play the hand I was dealt.
  2. I actively give myself credit by smiling and congratulating myself regarding any improvement, no matter how big or small, over my past self. I journal about my improvements like a little school girl so I don't forget it.
  3. I do not beat myself up for my failures--rejections, "awkward" moments, mistakes, all of it. I shut the thoughts down by focusing on others around me, going for another approach, or getting the fuck up and going for a jog.
  4. I remind myself often that I am at least as good as others. Other people aren't important. Their judgement are absolutely inconsequential.

To supplement these steps, I'll offer a fairly typical rejection on my path to becoming a whore whisperer. A guy I befriended at a bar one night introduced me to a friend of his who was completely my type. I asked her what her story was and tried to make some statements about her answer. Ultimately, I ended up asking her the most awkward, fucking retarded thing ever. Like someone paid me to say the dumbest shit I could think of to embarrass myself. My brain prophesied the eventuality of the sounds coming out of my mouth and was beginning to go into full shutdown before I was even finished. Her facial expression and follow-up would have sent me into the deepest, darkest cave 8 months earlier. But you know? I've been here before, man. I know this feel. What's a guy to do? 1. Compared to my past self, cold approaching anyone and getting introduced to a girl that hot was never in the cards. My past self would have been playing league of legends, feeling fucking miserable and alone. 2. I smiled on my way back to my friends and congratulated myself for my efforts. I relaxed my shoulders and stomach and let the anxiety pass through. 3. I denied the negative thoughts. Anytime they reared, I shut them down by focusing on others around me and enjoying the music. I refused to beat myself up about meaningless horse shit. I simply won't allow it. 4. I reminded myself that I'm a valuable person. I'm confident. I go hard as fuck in the paint. I'd die for my friends. Everyday I improve myself. It's unlikely anyone in any bar I visit has put as large a gap between their past and current self as me. If that whore had the slightest clue, she'd beg for me to come back and say more awkward shit.

Thanks to using these strategies again and again and again, my self esteem has improved dramatically and my negative thoughts are subsiding. My attempts more frequent. My results higher quality. One day these strategies and beliefs will be fully ingrained and I will be my Alpha.

Hopefully, my shitty posts and anecdotes along the way help some of you become your Alpha. But remember that we aren't all going to make it. Zyzz lied. He couldn't make it out of a hot tub. You gotta hustle. Women comically and falsely believe things are meant to happen. As men, we know the truth: things happen because you fucking make them happen. I really admire each and every one of you that is out there struggling on this journey. It's worth it. The reward is the greatest there is- to be Man. Keep hustlin'.
