Just a quick note on how one should READ AND UNDERSTAND instead of meekly absorbing the slop they place in your through. A good trick is to try to observe the question and data from other angles.

The article has a breakdown by age and gender of top earners. It uses eastern and southern europe as good examples, because there's about 2-3x as many women as top earners than in say germany.

Now, do you think Germany and the nordic countries are not bound hand and foot to the feminist ideal? (pro-tip: they are)

What it shows is very simple:

  • when driven by sharp, stark, unforgiving need, women will work a lot harder.

  • when need is not nearly as much an issue, they will totally relax and take it easy.

  • even under excellent conditions, there's always some outliers.

  • this is a similar effect to what you observe in gender distributions in STEM areas: the richer the country, the less there are.

Nevertheless, be under no doubt this will serve as an argument to try and get extra benefits for downtrodden women. Never let an opportunity slip by.

Edit: this is not a "women suck" post. Its an "observe nature when it can function as intended" observation.
