Agreed on the value of male spaces, but personally disagree on American football. To each their own, but I will not play a sport that is statistically proven to lower my lifespan and affect my cognitive abilities (from all the trauma). You can absolutely find "manly" male spaces through other channels.

If football's not already in your blood, might be better to find a different sport. It's just a brute fact that getting your head tackled over and over and over again isn't good for your brain, and neither are concussions. That might just be overly risk averse on my end but football and head injuries tend to go together.
