Summary: I discuss the concept of yellow flags, i.e. minor stuff you kinda dislike about a girl but which you can get over, and how you can use them to later get out of the relationship and gently next her.
Body: There are so many benefits to breaking up while staying in good terms with the girl, one of which is avoiding being falsely accused of criminal conduct if the girl feels like it, as illustrated by the horror stories we often read in this sub :(, and generally having less drama in your life. But for that you need to give a legit reason for why you think the two of you won't work, which is why 1. Keeping track of yellow flags 2. Voicing your dislike as soon as they appear is important.
Example: Had a 27 year old plate which I actually liked a lot as a person, but she simply didn't make the cut for GF status. One of the yellow flags with this one was an ex-boyfriend she told me about. They broke up several times and got back together. Guy is still paying for her College education although she generally talked shit about him. Also she mentioned another guy who first took her virginity once and later broke her heart. Both of these stories are yellow flags. Not a big deal but I simply would have preferred not to know and said it and she apologized. After a few months of seeing each other, I met a girl who goes to the same Uni as her, is prettier, 7 years younger and generally more innocent. Girl 1 started seeing text from girl 2 from time to time while I would be showing her something on my phone for instance and a WhatsApp notification pops up. She became progressively more anal about this as I ended up spending a lot of time with her, although we never said we were exclusive so I decided to break up with her. Now I am not 100% certain this chick is not insane, but I have to admit it was mostly in the good fun sense of crazy throughout the relationship. So told her about the other girl and long story short said she reminds me of her. She's like the girl she probably was before she met her ex-boyfriend and hé changes her. I always felt sad that I couldn't meet that girl, so I have a chance to do it now and want to give this a serious shot. And I think she has some unresolved business with her ex-biyfriend (her college bills obviously ah ah ah) and I think she should clear that out before trying to get with someone else. This shit came out to me randomly simply because they have a lot of things in common (which I was oly realizing as I was saying it lol) but the ex boyfriend thing is a card I always left in a corner and knew that I could use it if I needed to get out of that relationship.
Lesson: even if it's not at the level of a red-flag, when you dislike something say it. You can use it to your advantage later.
