Lifting out of the mud, some would rather wrestle with pigs

It's always good to go over the basics again. It's been 18 months since taking the pill, and passed the 12 month mark of my MAP a while back, it offers some new insights into a lot of the things you read before developing a better masculinity. In this case, Rollo's Plate Spinning Theory. Why posers are never going to be as useful to men who are/have put in the work. Let them fail. You lose two drowning men for every one that fights you to drown himself.

You cannot help others until you help yourself

This statement really has depth in this context. Other moderators of MRP notice as well. A username that isn't recognized, yet speaks in a particular way. You notice when it's an alt account of an established user, or someone who has got it intuitively. It's a 'voice' that you can never turn off. All of us in our beginner stages miss a certain; I know not what, that differentiates between a poser who says the right words, versus an insightful post that actually influences other men.

Like a 9 year old girl in her moms wedding dress. All the parts are there, but something about it is just... off.

When a man actually does the things he talks about, he injects a nuance into his descriptions, and it's picked up. It permeates through the background, like an ether.

A man, owning their shit; you'd think this expression of weakness (e.g. owning your shit weekly threads) would go against the Laws of Power, against the idea that this process is a constant improvement, with no regression. Quite the opposite.

What's being developed are the tools to cope with weakness, and overcome it. Since we are such flawed creatures, there will be a ton of weaknesses, and it takes a lifetime to develop all of them, then you die. Can't win for losing. On the occasion a long time RP man posts an OWS, look at the differences, it's there when you know to look for it.

TRP used to be good, now it's shit

I don't have an eloquent way to describe this yet, but can instantly point it out. It ties into the many things that RP people have a problem with. The "TRP is shit now" posts, for example. Posts are always shit, coming from members who are starting on their journey, as they should be. Eventually, with work and practice, one gets a quality, an Archwinger level of wisdom, and a post that really gets to the core of a message that is otherwise described in a fumblefucky way.

It's useful to see, even if you don't quite understand, in the same way it's useful to have masculine people helping develop from childhood into manhood, or a man dragging you out of the trenches. I test a new guy on his first posts, and I would say, a majority of the time, a small prodding is enough to send ego-protection into overdrive. Even when another man, being helpful, points out the exact process, it doesn't help, they are just unable to separate from their ego.

On the few times I've misjudged the egoless poster, they quickly correct me, completely filtering the ego-prodding, and getting to the core of the message. It's a nice thing to see, and a litmus test. Those guys tend to be here a year later, crushing it in life. That man, that man is ready. I know no one is wasting time instead of engaging someone better suited to it. I assume women with drunken captains have a similar mindset, subconscious, but the same:

I mean, why would you listen to this asshole? He lifts weights for a week, tells me to drop the ice cream, and I'm supposed to listen to him? Fuck him!

Benevolence, or not being there yet

And sure enough, you see examples everywhere.

I did the reading, hit the gym, it's been a month, and she shit all over me. What gives!

From my post What did you think she was doing to do I argue that it's because you signal, by your words, body language, and actions, signal you're not in a position of benevolence, you're convincing yourself of your merit, and disguising it as assistance to others, thinly veiled ego protection. It's a big driver of the "TRP is turning to shit now" posts. They follow a pattern:

Field report.

  • Very obvious Red pill examples
  • Surface understanding hypergamy and solipsism
  • Listening to what she says instead of watching what she does
  • It feels like lip service
  • Sometimes a passive way of blaming her anyways e.g. I should have known she was useless
  • Sometimes sour grapes, like Dr. Claw and "Next time Gadget!"
  • Then the lessons learned at the end. (are they though, are they?)

One expects that, first chance he gets, he's doing the exact same thing again. Reiterating basic RP stuff, and a "Next time Gadget, next time. People aren't buying it. Until a guy starts using it intuitively, it's really not there yet. And the closer a guy is to being there, the less it looks like convincing self, instead of distilling wisdom from experience.

All we can do is be cognizant of it, self aware to see if/when we are doing it ourselves, and stop doing it altogether. One less faggot in the world is a good enough reason. It's good to see a guy, putting in the work. Helps others know who to flair, who to listen to, who is improving, who needs a kick in the ass, and who needs to hit his ass on the door on their way out.
