What's TRP's take on empathy?

I searched the main sub and didn't really find an answer.

For example, Plate/LTR states she didn't get a good night sleep, an empathetic response would be "you must be tired."

Does a plate not receive any empathy and such statements handled as a shit test with AA? What about an LTR?

So we're all on the same page: Empathy - the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.
