I have been on quite a few dates, and have been in multiple relationships. I have yet to get flaked on tbh so this is really intriguing to me as I want to learn from it.
Long story short, a girl showed (what seemed to me at the time) massive interest. For an example, she was the one to first ask me for my number, talking tons through text, and eventually asking me to go out on a date. I told her I was busy with my work and business and that I would hit her up in about a month when it slowed down. Fast forward I hit her up, and we hit it off again, sending eachother texts, pics, stories, etc.. We eventually set up a date to meet on a weekend. The day of, she says that she had to cancel because she had to meet with her group that worked on a business project.
Based on my instinct I just thought she had a sudden change of heart and wasnt interested. I understand it could be genuine as anyone can have things pop up. But if I set up a date, I would make sure I have that day blocked off out of respect. Yet throughout the day she updated me saying she was very sorry, and how her work sucked, and how shes still at work throughout the day. I just went along and said no problem work comes first.
Heres the thing, shes going out of country to visit her family, the weekend after. So I said we can always hang out when you come back, and she responded "yes we will!"
Normally for a guy when we cancel, especially on the day of, its because were just not interested. But at the same time, I would never have showed that much interest had I not wanted to at least test a first date to see how she is. Do you believe this is the case as well? The fact that she was showing so much interest, and insisting on going on a date makes me think otherwise.
So here's my question. Should I be the one to hit her up when she comes back, or just wait for her text, or just simply move along?
Thanks in advance!
