That "who's your favorite fictionalized PUA" thread got me looking up some different characters, where I stumbled onto the wiki article for Casanova -- pretty much the original PUA (albeit fictionalized in modern media), but in a time and place that was not nearly as friendly toward the lifestyle. He understood passion better than most guys do today.

There are some interesting bits in the art of seduction section, but I honestly found the quotations section to be better. What's awesome is that most of his form is still very legitimate and applicable today, sans the societal changes that have occurred over time. I can't say I'm a fan of his four-step plan in today's world, but I do like the overall tone and outlook he carries.
