Emotional labor

I'd like to make a list with examples of emotional labor because it is a concept I struggled hard with at the beginning (sometimes I still do) and I think a list could be useful to other women. I'll start:

  • Being expected to manage the moods of everyone in group settings (not only personally but professionally)

  • Being expected to always invest your time and money in others first

  • Being expexcted to never bother other people with thing like your anger (crying is allowed but with the stygma of it being a manipulation tactic)

Are there other things you'd like to add?
